Using xteve, VLC plays the xteve-generated m3u. Using Emby works, Using IPTV app on android, I feed it the same xteve-generated m3u, channels and epg load and play.
NextPVR loads channels, loads epg, but can't play back.
"Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)"
Attaching logs.
Any ideas? I'd love for NextPVR to work. I love its speed and simplicity.
Has anyone been able to get NextPVR able to work with Xteve? I can use xteve with every other applicaiton, so I know the streams work, but when I try with NextPVR I get the following errors in the log:

Got a fresh Catalina install on a MacBook Pro and I've installed ffmpeg via homebrew. Using fresh install of Chrome for browser. Can't get the npvr web client to work. streaming failed / transcoder exited.
server is running on a different Mac in the other room.
hdhomerun client directly to the tuners works fine... just the web client to npvr server that I can't figure out.
here's what npvr had to say about it (attached). any direction?
thanks very much for the continued help...

still appreciate any other info re permissions, ownership, etc. to save me the experimenting if anybody has some experience with this on the Mac already.
thanks!
-------------- hi folks,
could somebody provide an example of an UpdateEPG script for MacOS?
Here's what I run manually to create my xmltv.xml file....
I just need to know exactly what file name to use in the .NPVR-data/scripts directory, plus any other specific requirements, in order to make sure it the NPVR server will run it for me every night.
Any chance the archive feature could still continue with remaining files in a season when one or more files do not exist?

My issue is I have two systems and want to archive recordings from each to my NAS drive. I have the check for missing files/directories turned off because sometimes my NAS is offline or at another location. Keeping the two systems in synch is an issue I plan to sort out later as I can watch the recordings using other software until then.
I just installed installed 2.8.0 hoping that this version would honor channel groups. NG. In fact, 2.7.4 would allow me to select a group in settings but can't do that in 2.8.0.
I've attached logs from V5 and Kodi. Can you tell me why groups are not being shown?
I didn't see much on what I was trying to do, so I thought I would share some success. Hopefully others can figure out why it worked.
I purchased an Insignia™ - 55” Class – LED - 2160p – Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR – Fire TV Edition (Model: NS-55DF710NA19). This is the TV with Fire built in.
After side loading Kodi, I tried to add NextPVR as an addon for TV and got an error a few times installing the addon. The manager would come on screen at 0% and everything seemed to stop.
As an accident or whatever, I went back to the files section of Kodi and added my links to server content on the NextPVR (running on my PC). After trying a couple other PVR Addons, I tried Next PVR addon again and it worked! I couldn't be happier with the TV purchase now that the connection to my recorded content is happy again!
Might be an accident and might be a formula. But, since I couldn't find anything to follow, thought I'd share.
Hello, i m trying to use v5 with a RPi4 and a Hauppauge dualHD. I have installed the drivers on Raspbian but NextPVR under devices finds nothing. Can you please help me ?
Hello. I have everything running nice and NextPVR records and adds to my PLEX library on my NAS.
If i record a program that doesn't have a S00E00 format it creates the file with date+time. For example, recording right now and it writes it as "The Carpenters Close to You & Christmas Memories (My Music Presents)_20191207_10301230".
When I go to watch in PLEX, it won't see it because it is looking for a S00E00 format. Is there any way to have "_20191207_10301230" written as "S2019E1207"? As soon as I manually change it, PLEX sees it. I watch a lot of news and there are not S00E00 formats in SD tv guide for that.
I try to use the PLEX PVR but it is not nearly as reliable as NextPVR.
Thanks everyone, great product and great community.
