  OSD that recieves XPL messages
Posted by: silient - 2005-09-17, 12:54 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I was just wondering has anyone integrated xpl into GB-PVR. It can be done with Tivo, http://www.xplproject.org.uk/modules.php...=30&page=1
I thought it would be nice to be able to do the same thing with GB-PVR.
It would allow OSD for incoming CID over the xpl network to a panel on GB-PVR.

  need copy of v0.94.8 (afternoon)
Posted by: dneprrider - 2005-09-17, 12:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When upgrading to v0.94.12 I forgot to export my recordings. When ugrading to v0.94.12 I got the installer rollback error so I do not have a usable application. I would like to go back to v0.94.8 (afternoon) again and export my recordings.

Does anyone have a copy of v0.94.8 (afternoon) they could email me or know where it can be downloaded?

Email me at dneprrider @ gmail . com

Thanks....

  MVP and second TV
Posted by: gomjabar - 2005-09-17, 12:23 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

Im thinking of getting an MVP for a second TV in my bedroom. I have a decent gbpvr computer (2200 athlon xp w/512ram) and the main TV and the mvp wont be used simultaneously. The main reason I want it is to be able to watch my recorded shows in the bedroom. Do you recommend an MVP for this is there a better solution for about the same price?

Is there a list of set top boxes the 150 supports
Posted by: jorm - 2005-09-17, 11:06 AM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (31)

At some point I am going to get either a DishNetwork or DirectTV setup in my house. I am trying to figure out what receivers the IR Blaster functions with. Anyone know if there is a list of supported boxes?

Or if anyone has either DirectTV or DishNetwork working can you post your receiver model #. So I can make sure that the one I get is compatible.

  MVP slight problems
Posted by: borgs5 - 2005-09-17, 11:04 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

Hi,

Just got an MVP. For the most part I'm very impressed with it and the way it works with GB-PVR from a 1Ghz PC that is accessing an EPIA 5000 TV card and folders. I have a number of small problems though, if someone knows the answer to these it would be appreciated:

1. Hauppauge MVP settings (before I started using the GBPVR dongle) says RGB detected when I first powered it on. When I go into standby and turn it back on settings is now showing composite - RGB is not available in the list. It still looks like RGB, I think. I'm guessing its just a software fault but that the actual unit is still using RGB. Is this a common problem - I have revision D3A.

2. I get a green/purple wavy line at the bottom of any screens. When I use the MVP positioner plugin it just truncates the bottom of the GBPVR screen. The last 2 inches of the screen remain black with the wavy line. I don't mind it being at the top of the screen rather than the middle but its the green line I don't like. I realise that this is a TV related problem but if I could just move the entire MVP screen down a few lines that would clear the problem. Is there any way to do this please?

3. Sometimes my connection is dropped but it seems to be after I use a particular plugin so I'll monitor that one.

4. Cannot get Live TV to work but this is probably due to my configuration: PC upstairs running GB-PVR MVP server, PC downstairs which actually has the TV card in it and the video and music folders. I can watch TV that is being recorded if I watch it like a pre-recorded video but nothing appears if I try it from Live TV.

By the way GBPVR is quite responsive from a 1Ghz athlon that is streaming files from the EPIA 5000 PC. Running GBPVR server on the EPIA itself, as was expected, is very slow - about 5 seconds per button press - but it does work so I'm impressed!

Cheers

  XBMC PMIII Skin.
Posted by: djdafreund - 2005-09-17, 08:49 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (66)

I am really wanting to make a skin , ALA XBMC PMIII style. I am willing to do the work, but i'm not keen on the workings. Would someone be interested in co-developing it with me here???
I just need assistance. For those not into that scene, it is an XBOX media center program, and the skin used is pretty nice actually. I actually helped a lot fixing/making 2 different very popular skins for the xbmc, but this is a lot different for me. SO i can definetely use help with someone to make it.

  Errors in EPG
Posted by: jonmck - 2005-09-17, 07:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have updated to 09412, and I am getting strange EPG results.

I have the same program starting at 0855, and then at 0900 and again at 0905 (the 0905 is the correct one)

I have tried updated EPG but it doesn't change. It seems to only be a problem for this weekend and then resolves on Tuesday

Will any of the current types work for this card? If not, any plans for supporting it in the future?
Thanks

Can I manually enter channel data?
Posted by: wannabepvr - 2005-09-17, 04:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

I am having trouble finding channels using the set-up scan.
there are 5 FTA channels in my area (Melbourne Australia) and occsaionally the scan detects one, but usually none.

I have used other programs such as the Twinhan rubbish I got with the card (very buggy) so I know they there and my signal strength and quality are ok.

I see that the one sucessful scan returns this string.

Nine Guide (T:C8,191500,0,0,7~P:1074~V:517~A:700~PMT:258~N:>Nine Guide)

Given that I know this data for the other channels, can I manually enter it somewhere? (If so what sort of editor ASCII/text etc. )

This is a great program and I am looking forward to being able to use its potential.
