  titles starting with "The"
Posted by: peabody - 2005-09-17, 07:18 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

i noticed in the schedule under "T" are all the titles starting with "The"... this is probably the fault of zap2it for naming things "The X" instead of "X, The". but if gbpvr could filter "The X" to "X, The" then they would be sorted properly. Same thing for things starting with the words "A" or "An" but there are much fewer of those.

  padding/conflicts
Posted by: peabody - 2005-09-17, 07:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

i chose a show to record that happened to start exactly at the same time as an already-programmed show ended. but i have end-padding set to 5 minutes... shouldn't that generate a conflict somewhere? it didn't complain either when i entered the second program, or when i selected "conflicts". which one takes priority in that 5 minute overlap?

  Autostart MVP server
Posted by: gomjabar - 2005-09-17, 07:04 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (1)

If I set this value to 1 then whenever I start GBpvr the server should start also correct? I ask cause I am having to manually start the server every time through the gbpvr start menu.

  Losing most recent recording info
Posted by: bgowland - 2005-09-17, 05:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I'm experiencing the following intermittently and was wondering if anyone else had noticed it.

Sometimes, but ONLY sometimes, I can start the Config app., click OK to exit (without making any changes) then when I open the main app., the most recent recordings in 'Whats New' have disappeared. The recording files are still there, just the info in the database file has disappeared during compaction. Also, any one-off recordings I've recently scheduled go missing from the Pending page. Specifically, it seems that any recordings before midnight (i.e., the previous day's recordings and older) will still be there - just anything recorded or one-off schedules since midnight go missing.

I've discovered that I can copy the gbpvr.mdb.original back in to place and that has everything expected. NOTE - this is not the same problem as the gbpvr.mdb going missing / being renamed as old.mdb - I've never seen that.

If nobody else has seen this then I can only assume I have some bizarre minor corruption in my mdb file.

Cheers,
Brian

  Everything Working Fine Now (Sorta...)
Posted by: CurtisMinBC - 2005-09-17, 05:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi everyone,

I have found the culprit as to why the programs do not show up in my Recordings/XRecord after being recorded.

I noticed that when I try and run comclean it does this (comclean never works either for that matter), I then generated my comclean.err and here are the results:

Code:
Invalid range [-] The system cannot find the file specified.

and as for my PostProcessing.bat:

Code:
rem comskip %1 call comclean %1 >>comclean.log 2>>comclean.err Renamerecording % rectracker %1 > rectracker.log

The help is appreciated like always.

RGDS & TIA

Curtis M.

  Position TVout on PVR350
Posted by: Geert Deleu - 2005-09-17, 05:08 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

hello,
I am having a little annoying problem with GBPVR that i do not have with TV2000.
My TV is a Sony 16:9 that is able to stretch a 4:3 image to 16:9.
But on the bottom of the GBPVR image there appears to be a white line and my TV set thinks this is part of the image so it scales only the upper halve of the TV-out to match the TV 16:9 leaving a black bar at the bottom.
Is there a way to slove this? Is it possible to adjust the screen position?

Also if i scale the screen my OSD is a bit to large and is obscured by the TV border. If it soul be possible to adjust this position that would be great!

Thanks,
Geert

  Command-Line-Controling Interface
Posted by: teris - 2005-09-17, 04:03 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Hi,

I'm not using the standard hauppauge remote. I have a multifunctional remote which can do anything for me.

Now, I wish a command-line interface to send commands to gbpvr. This should be like this:

gbcontrol.exe TVGuide
gbcontrol.exe PageDown
etc.

The standard hauppauge remote is good, but:
When I'm playing a 3D game on screen1 and gbpvr on screen2 (multi-monitor-setup), I have to minimize the game and switch to gbpvr to change the channel.

With an interface like this, I could control gbpvr directly without changing the active application.

Another idea is:
GBPVR receives all remote commands. This should work, when gbpvr is NOT the active application.

Thanks!
Bye,
Sebastian

  xRecord File Saving
Posted by: isgdre - 2005-09-17, 03:14 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (10)

Does anyone know if there is a way to file recorded shows in xRecord?

What I would like to do is Have different areas for different people so when I watch a show I can say "My Son would like to see this" and file it under some directory (or whatever) that he can watch at a leter time.

I would like to have about 8 different filling areas. Son1, Son2, daughter, wife, brother, etc..

Any Ideas how I would do that?

  Weather plugin error

I believe this may have been reported once already but I cant seem to find the thread.

I'm using 94.12 and the Weather plug in is having a hard time displaying its icons (sun, clouds, etc.) Here is the error from the gbpvr.exe.log file.
