So I'm having one hell of a time getting a decent audio signal out of GB-PVR. In most cases the audio is softer than in other apps but it really depending on what I'm watching. Adjusting the Audio Decoder and the Audio Renderer seems to help but even with the best output I still notice a difference in volume. If I had to quantify the difference I'd say the audio playback is at best around 20% softer and at worst barely audible at all. I've tried using several decoders including nVidia, Cyberlink, and Hauppauge. Right now I'm getting the best results with the Cyberlink audio decoder but that presents a new problem, audio/video sync and video skipping.
What do you guys have your playback config set to? How does that work for you? Also, how complex is your setup (multiple tuners)?
If I open Config, Click on Capture Sources, select one of my sources, and click on Edit, then the Update EPG button, I get the following message:
"Your EPG Source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings".
If I disable Norton Internet Security, and do the above, I do not get the error message, and the EPG will be updated.
I was told to do the following: Open Norton Internet Security, click Personal Firewall, then the Config button. Click the Programs Tab and set GBPVR and GBPVRRecondingService to Permit All.
This I did, but as long as Norton is enabled, the error message keeps coming up.
Is there anything else to do to Norton to make it not interfere with the Update EPG?
Hi everyone. I've been using GBPVR for a few months now and I find it that it fits my needs very well. Great job, Sub, and all those that may have helped/contributed to the project!
My wish is to simply add a "watch channel" funtionality to GBPVR if the show has not started yet. That way, when it's 8:59PM, you don't have to go back and select the show that's just about to end, in the guide, in order to get the "watch" button. I'm sorry in advance if this is an old request, but i looked around and didn't see anything.
I've already mentioned that my Divx files sometimes encode only some of the video while encoding all of the audio--although I haven't had that issue recently. Perhaps the driver upgrade/XP SP2 upgrade, GBPVR upgrade addressed that somehow.
Shortly after that report, some of my mpeg (and I just noticed a few avi files) recordings started coming up short. Sometimes 10 minutes short, sometimes it would cut off right after it starts. I have been nearby before, and the 'ready to record' light will shut off before the recording is finished in those instances, but the log files don't indicate that the recording didn't finish.

To me it looks as though it finished, but again, length is 9:39. Other files have cut off only a few minutes, or just after the recording began.
Now, on some (not every) MPEG recordings that do finish, the audio is coming up out of sync (this has not happened to a divx file yet). On the divx forum, someone claimed that syncing issues were the purvue of the software. I'm not sure if that's true or not, is it?
I have XP Pro, SP2, a Pentium M Dothan 715E laptop with 512mb of RAM and no particular drain on it's resources. I'm using GBPVR v09310, and I recently updated to the most recent driver for my TV402U from Plextor's site.
Do any of these issues sound familiar? My searches only revealed someone else who was having trouble with recordings ending early that seemed to solve it by going back to v.91.05. Is there an archive of older versions of gbpvr so that I could try that?
I just moved from NY to CA and I can't get the stations out of the 123 tab from NY. Also when I go to live tv now, it just kicks me back out to the menu. What can I do?
When I'm playing the xbox on gbpvr, my eyes start to hurt after about 3-10 minutes of playing. When I'm on the computer, they don't hurt. And when I'm playing the xbox on the tv, im fine. What's causing this? Is there an option to increase viewing quality, refresh rate, or something? Thx

Can I use the dual-tuner capability of this card to record two shows at once in GB-PVR? I've been "shopping around" so to speak for a PVR that'll let me do this, but all I've heard in forums about it are people having trouble with it.
Does anyone actually have a setup with this card where this is working trouble-free?
Who can give me some advise or tips for the following issue.
I have here from a DVD some converted avi files of a fireplace, fish tank, winter snow scenery and a birdcage.
Now I want to run these files as a sort of screensaver when I am playing my music.
These files are sound less because I havend yet added the wav and avi file together. I donât want to have bird or fireplace sound running true my music.
My preference goes out by running these files on my command or only with the music library.
Can someone help me out by giving me some pointers of how you would do this.
Oh buy the way; I can convert them for example into a normal windows screensaver but I am not a computer genius who can write there own plugins for GBPVR
I've come across your software and decided to try it as the wintv32 application that came with my Hauppage Nova T USB2 device was shocking and from the screenshots this looked excellent!
I am however experiencing a number of problems.
The first is that the BDA Mux checker is not picking up any MPEG multiplexer filters, I'd be grateful if you could forward me to where I can get a free one of these please?
The second is that even though on the front page of the website it states that my device is supported, when I run the Tuning Assistant, select United Kingdom there is no option in the drop down menu for Nova T USB2 hardware.
Finally I presume the above have something to do with the Channels tab of the config window being populated by a solitary grey box.
All of the above was tried after installing the Hauppage software.
I'd be grateful if anybody can help me with the above as I'm desparate to ditch the Wintv app.
