  tvg-shift support
Posted by: ldnphf - 2019-11-12, 11:30 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (4)

My m3u includes "tvg-shift" parameter to timeshift the EPG for a specific channel by # of hours. Can this be a feature of NPVR? Seems simple enough. I have a bunch of west coast channels and only east coast EPG info.

  Can pre-padding use negative number?
Posted by: markn62 - 2019-11-11, 10:56 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (17)

I would like recordings to start one minute after the hour (or designated schedule time) and end one minute after the hour (or designated schedule time).  I tried entering a value -1 pre-padding and a value of 1 post-padding.  With this the recording still started at the top of the hour, not one minute later.  Do these entries support a negative value?

Scheduler - How to add time to manual recording?
Posted by: markn62 - 2019-11-11, 08:54 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (10)

Using a browser I can't figure out how to enter a "manual" recording schedule completely. I can sucessfully enter everything fine except the time. Defaults from 8:30PM to 8:30PM.  Can only get a calendar popup in the date/time field. I can type a different military time in but it doesn't take.  I can get a time entered using the client app localhost but the client app doesn't prompt what directory I want it in. Tried to work between browser and client app to get a complete entry but can't figure out how to edit after a schedule creation so I can fix the incorrect scheduled time.

Can NPVR offset only 3 channel listings in EPG?
Posted by: acemib - 2019-11-09, 07:49 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (20)

I have a maddening issue that I hope the very knowledgeable NPVR community can assist

The short version is I live overseas and use an AFN set top decoder box. For seven years, I have successfully used 92518 zip code with a Schedules Direct subscription to create the guide in NPVR.  About a month ago, three of my channels suddenly imported 8 hours ahead of the actually airtime. I have contacted SD, AFN, and Zap2it. But only SD returned a response and they said "your application needs to apply an offset."

If I understand correctly, it is either an AFN or Zap2it issue but neither is providing me corrective action. So I am wondering if NPVR has the ability to offset those three channels by 8 hours so my guide is accurate?

Thanks to all.

  Metadata in Windows 10 Explorer
Posted by: TimN - 2019-11-08, 10:30 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Hello

Can anybody tell me how to add more descriptive programme metadata or info such as recorded programme episode content or overview or recorded programme description to the details pane in Windows Explorer? At the moment, all I get is the basics such as Title, File size, running time etc.

It would help with archiving and storage of material and the retrieval thereof.

Two xmltv sources, which has priority?
Posted by: markn62 - 2019-11-07, 11:07 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

If the config.xml has two EPG sources entered how are they handled?  Does one have priority over the other, if so which one?  Is source B merged with source A or the other way around?

  HD-PVR adding channels
Posted by: damo - 2019-11-07, 10:31 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (23)

Hi Sub,

Foxtel (AUS) have added some channels to the line-up and I'm trying to work out the easiest way to add them to the HD-PVR channel list.

Firstly, Add Channels doesn't work at all through the Web Gui - I have to use Import Channels.
Secondly, with Import Channels, is it possible to add a {xmltv id} tag to the blaster args, that picks up the HD-PVR channel to blast from the xmltv file? Currently {channel} simply adds the new NextPVR channel, and not the Blaster Channel.

Here's my xmltv snippet:

So "Fox ONE" needs to blast channel 101 to my colossus, not 816.

Really hope this is possible, as when I update the xmltv file with new channels, I could then simply clear and refresh the channels easily.

New Intel Graphics driver - NextPVR known issue
Posted by: SoupSatchel - 2019-11-07, 04:53 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Not sure what the issue is that Intel highlights in their release notes here but I saw this because I was having sound stuttering issues though that may or may not be related. Just a heads up for anyone having trouble this week.

  Multiple Issues
Posted by: bisonfan - 2019-11-07, 12:42 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (60)

This is a continuation of the my thread on the V4. V5 is currently unusable for me and I am seeking guidance.

Few up front things.  Raspberri Pi's run openelec 7.0.1, windows 10 1903 I believe HDhomerun dual tuners

A few issues that I am running into:

1) NextPVRServer Error - issue can be seen at 17:20 of Nrecord on 11/6, not sure what is causing this or what is effected about it.
2) Openelec play back on RPI2 set to access back in through port 8867 freezes, transcoding issue or not feeding MPEG2? Logs indicate a test.ts instead of the live tv feed, doesn't make sense...
3) Access to port 8867 is a bit weird.  RPI can pull information, I can access via localhost:8867 however any other access is denied.  HTTP server setup does not access 8867, but 8866 (V4) works like a dream. 127.0.0.1 will not access 8867 either.

For the time being I am using V4 to feed the house.

Thanks for any help
