i've got my HTPC setup in my family room. Main job is a PC for my daughter to use, secondary use is a PVR. So far i've got everything going - dual head video card, GB-PVR running fullscreen on the TV, irremote.ini allowing control of GB-PVR irregardless of focus.
The only stumper for me is audio. Right now, i'm running SP/DIF to my receiver, and it works fine. Only problem is that ALL audio outputs through the receiver. Firefox/reader rabbit/GB-PVR.
What i'd like is some way to tell my computer to only output audio from GB-PVR through the SP/DIF connector.
I have installed the My Music plugin and it works great on my gbpvr box. However, it does not show up on my MVP. I thought it was a permissions thing since I am mapping a share drive to access my music (which is on a different box than my gbpvr), but I ran the gbpvr service as an account that has the appropriate accesses and it still did not show up.
Any ideas?
BTW: Was a knoppmyth user for about 6 months. Switched to gbpvr for PVR 500 support and it is much simpler to use/understand. Nice product.
So I just decided I would go ahead and reinstall windows and start over, here is what i did from there:
1. reinstalled windows
2. installed my pvr25 and pvr 150 with the drivers from hauppauge
3. installed wintv2000
4. installed hauppauge software decoders
5. installed gbpvr
5. installed .net framework
-When I watch live TV i just get a black screen with only audio.
-When I record something and try to play it back. I select play and nothing happens.
-I have each card as a different capture source (capture card #1 and capture card #2)
The new Dutch channel Talpa is not supported yet by xmltv. This is because tvgids.nl hasn't got data of Talpa.
I wrote a little program that gets the guide-data straight from the Talpa-site. It's alpha, so probably pretty buggy; but you may want to give it a try.
New in version 0.3:
- Fixed conversion of character è
- Fixed some fields that gave errors in xmltv
New in version 0.2:
- Added Commandline parameters to be able to specify the channelId, displayName, outputfile and number-of-days (max 6)
- Gets max 6 days of data
- Converts some unreadable HTML-codes to readable text.
I have been struggling to get this setup working for a couple of weeks now. And I keep hitting a wall. I have read through so many threads on this forum, all very helpful, but my problems still exist. So here is my setup:
Drivers: The newest Hauppage drivers from their website.
I have come to grips with most of the concepts around getting this to work. And thats why I am frustrated.
I have done all the uninstalling and re-installing I can handle! I have tried to install these MUX's eveyone keeps talking about, and the only one I can get installed is the Showshifter one. (I have installed Intervideo WinDVD, and Cyberlink PowerDVD, and the MUX checker still says they are not installed?? Is there something I am missing here??)
Ok, then I have tried to get the UK freeview listings, but Bleb does not have them all. And the link to the other site to get the XML listings does not work from any thread.(Just to let you know The Card is working fine with the WinTV program, I get all 38 channels, and all seems fine.) There does not seem to be a tuner application that works with the Nova-T??? - the tuner app works with the other Hauppage cards, but not the Nova-T. But even when I do get the listings from Bleb, it hangs the application everytime I try and MAP them to the EPG.
So maybe I am being a complete idiot here, but I really like the look and idea of your software, and thats why I am dedicated to getting it to work. Sub, if you are out there, HELP!!!!
I'm sure there is a simple solution to this, but I haven't been able to find it! I want to watch Live TV on the PC running GBPVR. However, I only get a black screen that says video is playing back using TV Out. How do I set it to display on the monitor?
I have just reinstalled Windows XP SP2 after I tried the directx unistall, and reintsall 9.0b to get the right quartz.dll - it gummed things up big time.
I am recording in DVR-MS format but my files have started to play back slightly pixellated - straight lines are not as perfect as they were yesterday.
I also get a message that says This system does not appear to supprt VMR9.
Does this have a bearing? If so, how do I get my system to support VMR9
I have a really slow response on my MVP. From a push of a button to some action on the screen (even just moving selection in a menu) takes about half a second. It have always been like this, both for GBPVR-MVP and Hauppage server.
Is this something I'll have to live with, or are there any trix out there?
