I have two MVPs connected to my GBPVR server. Often we watch a live show on one MVP. If one of us goes to the other room with the other MVP, it is not possible to watch live TV in that room (I have only one tuner). Would it be possible to introuce the option of playing the Live TV buffer file on the second MVP? (I know channel changes would lead to trouble.)

I love the Jukebox plugin for those times that I want my HTPC to just play random mp3's of mine. I thought I remember reading at one time that it was designed to play and continue playing until you stopped it. I start it and it plays but once I go to the main screen it stops after it has finished the song it was on. Is this something specific to my machine or is it working they way it was written to run?

Also, is there any future updates to Jukebox in the works that you are aware of?

I've got a Hauppauge 350 card and DVD burner sitting basically unused in a PC that is heavily used for non-TV purposes. I also plan to buy a 200g hard drive. So, I'd like to use this hardware with a computer system that would essentially be a dedicated PVR. I'd like to be able to do live TV pausing, program guide, burning of programs to DVD, listening to the radio, playing MP3s, and all the other things that GB-PVR will do.

I've noticed that lots of Dell small form factor desktops in the gx240/260/270 line are hitting the secondary market after coming off of business leases. I understand that it's a pretty good computer that is a nice form factor and is quiet. So, now I need to decide which one to get, and I'd like to avoid spending lots.

It comes down to two choices, both running Win XP home.

The chip: Intel P4, either 1.7g or 2.0g chip.
RAM: 256 or 512.

Based on other posts, it seems that the 1.7g chip should be enough. Does that sound right?

What about the RAM? Can I get away with just 256 with the 350 card and expect the machine to run without delay? I plan to slim down XP but shutting down unneeded processes, etc.

Anything else I should be considering?

Also is there a possibility to get rid of the first row of channel names - or better yet a way to configure if I want icons or names. Myself I'll never want both at the same time...

Oooh, they Plugin/Guide2j page claims that it has every feature the built in guide have, but I don't get a "Watch" button

I also note that you haven't been able to pick up channels icons that the original TV guide do yet...

The number of remote controls have now exceeded the space of my coffe table, so I have decided to get a jp1 - one-for-all remote control.

Anyone that have any recommendations for what model to buy? The ones I've been looking at havn't been cheap, so I'd love to buy the right one straight away...

When I select the conflict button in Xrecord I only get the latest entry of conflicting shows.

I'd like to see all shows that overlap, perhaps grouped by date/time of overlapping conflict.

What I really would like is to be able to jump to the TVschedule to graphically see whats happening, but that's a big wish - I know

Perhaps I just missunderstood something... How are YOU correcting conflicts?

I have two Hauppauge 90002 PCI cards mountedin my PVR. Using WinTV2000 I can pickup all the available channels no problem. This has happened since installing the second card. I'm usig the latest drivers and latest GBPVR. After doing a channel scan I get "No channels found" etc but appear to have a ood signal. Attached is the Config.exe-native.log as proof. Any ideas

timeshift locks up gb-pvr. everything else works fine, but when i try to record, pause, rewind live tv it locks up. i'm pretty sure it is a setting but i'm not sure where to look. i'm running a 1 ghz amd, 512 megs ram, 160 gig hd, hauppauge 250, and video out of my nvidia agp card. and i've tried a few codecs (if that makes a diff.) anyone got anything?

Does anybody know how to page up & down through music lists, in the music player plugin using the hauppgauge remote.

It seems to work fine on the pc but I cant find any equivalent on the remote.

it is very slow if you have to go line by line on a MVP unit.

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question or not.

My current TV tuner card does not work with GBPVR and I have been using the trial version of Beyond Tv. So far, I think BTV is great.

That said, I am strongly considering upgrading to a tuner card with hardware encoding (hauppauge 150). This new Card will work with GBPVR.

Now the price of the new card could be somewhat offset by using GBPVR instead of paying for Beyond TV.

The GBPVR website doesn't really get into the features very much. I'm curious to the features one has over the other. Has anyone used both? What are your thoughts?

I appreciate that GBPVR has support for photos and stuff; I'm really just looking for a comparison between live tv, guide, and pvr features.
