I upgraded the hardware for my PVR (Sempron 3000), and I'm slowing getting the enironment up and running (and stable), but I'm having a problem on the MVP side of things.
Gbpvr is recording, and the desktop client works fine (shows a full hour recording and allows me to skip forward a minute) but the MVP overlay only shows a 1 second recording, although it will continue to play just fine, but when I do a skip (60 seconds ahead) I just get a black screen. I'm not sure whats wrong. I hope someone knows the issue so I can get back to normal and stop fussing with this machine.

I am having a tough time getting my Cyberlink remote to work with my GB-PVR. Not all of the numeric keys work even after attemted programming :eek: ! I am using the ATI 550 Pro card.
Could I use rename recordings to manually rename a file and keep all of GBPVR's data about it intact? I rename all of Star Trek, and Star trek Next Generation with the episode sequence number, so I can sort them to make DVDs easier. Using RenameRecordings helps a TON with that, but once I add the "### - " to the beginning of each episode, they are obviously deleted from GBPVR's database.
The only work around I can think of is to copy the file to the desired name, so they are both there, then manually edit the database with the new file name. It should work, but doesn't sound like fun.... Or I could edit the episode name in the database's schedule before it records, but I guess I would have to catch it that day.
Hi, I think I must be having a bad day because i cant seem to get this working at all! I have a Hauppage Nova-T Digital TV card which I cant get to work with the software. When I open the tuning settings whichever card type I select it simply says "Failed to find the crossbar filter"
Help... before I go insane....

I currently use a Compaq Deskpro SFF (small form factor) desktop machine. This machine is very cute, with a relatively small and quite case.
Here are the current specs of the machine:
- Pentium III 866 Mhz
- 512 MB RAM (Maxed out)
- 15 GB hard drive
- Three PCI slots
- Integrated VGA, sound, ethernet, etc...
I am getting a new computer this fall, and rather than sell this machine (best case: $120), thought I should invest a couple of hundred dollars and create a PVR. I am very intrigued with GBPVR (Thank you! looks like a great software).
I am thinking of doing the following upgrades:
- 200 GB Hard drive ($60)
- PVR-150 (comes with Remote, IR blaster and IR sensor) ($75)
- PCI Video card with TV Out (Probably an older ATI) ($30)
- Crossover ethernet cable to network with my new pc ($10)
- DVD Burner ($50)
So for a bit over $200, I am building this PVR. What you think? Did I forget anything?
I think it's the extra files generated by comskip (the bat, wme, etc), but when you delete a show--and it's the only/last one--you're stuck w/ the directory now. I know it's not a space issue, but it's looking like a teenager's room in the recording directory now.
Any chance of someone w/ the talent/means to make a postepg plugin/util that would find folders w/o mpg files and remove them?
The channel configuration is highly confusing. I'd suggest a complete overhaul.
But in the mean time, here's some small fixes that would make it considerably less confusing.
In the Channels tab. Do not have the Channel numbers, ad it's confusing changing them, and the channel numbers elsewhere. Since all you're doing their is allowing people to re-order channels as they like, have an up-down button to allow people to change the sequence.
In the EPG settings, be able to delete a channel manually, rather than delete the source and start again.
In the long term, I think the EPG settings should be completely seperate to your capture sources settings.
You should setup channels in one tab, and assign data to them somewhere else.
When in "live tv" in Gbpvr some channels have no volume.
When I check channel regular Fr it does.
Any ideas on why and the best way to fit it would be great!

I have got a FireDTV CI/S which works fine with MY Theater that comes with the receiver. I have installed the BDA drivers and setup a recording source in GB-PVR. When I select "Map digital channels to EPG channels" the PC crash immediatly and reboots.
I don't have any problem with my normal recording source PVR-350.
