This is my Wishlist:

A more interactive WebBrowser, such as the one in XLOBBY.

A better Email viewer.

Being able to get my WinFast TV2000 XP RM card to work with gbpvr.

A main menu page similiar to the attatch jpeg copy of intervideos Hometheater, mainly for the horizontal icon menu.

And that is what I wish for.

I just got my PVR up and running and so far everything is going relatively well. The software is working very well but there are a few things I'm hung up on and I'm hoping some very familiar users here could give me a helping hand.

1. I'm running dual monitors (analog 15" flatpanel primary, TV secondary) I would like to be able to start launch GBPVR fullscreen to the secondary monitor. If I launch from the icon on the desktop on the primary monitor it stays fullscreens on that one, however if I launch from a GBPVR icon on the secondary it displays fullscreen on the secondary (which is what I want). I'm just curious if there are any parameters to launching or anything else I can do to force the secondary display default.

4. Are there any plugins to change how files are named when a show is recorded? The show - episode name/number would be much more useful than some of the numbers that are used.

I am new to the GBPVR. Thank you for your well spent time and effort.

I am having difficulty displaying any video onto the TV. Everything seems to behave perfectly through the monitor. I have the S-Video output simultaneously displaying on my TV. Everything behaves as I'd expect it to (), but when I try to play any video, recording, live TV, or DVD, the TV simply displays a black screen. On my monitor I can see the video playing perfectly.

Any ideas.

My configuration is as follows:

BIOSTAR M7NCG 400 (with Integrated nVidia Geforce 4 MX and S-Video Out)
Hauppauge PVR-350 (only using to capture )
AMD Mobile running at 1.8 GHz
512 MB Ram
120 GB HDD

All replies are greatly appreciated ... I have scanned the forums to no avail.

Using Twinhan Alpha, and Intervideo Video/Audio Decoders. Using Cyberlink MPG Muxer (3.5.0107).

I have been unable to record or pause live tv on GBPVR. If I press pause, the 'please wait' screen comes up, then I get sent back to the menu and it says 'Error playing back video file'.

I've read different flavors of trying to solve the problem of getting multiple recordings of the same episode when recording a season. I understand the need to have the additional hours in the recording window for delays in a schedule. Thats good stuff!!! I think this problem if possible needs to be handled in a different way. Possibly through meta data in the show listings. By comparing the name of the show and the title you can eliminate duplicates. Some of this has to already be going on since it doesn't record an addition 120 minutes on both sides of an hour show. It must be looking at titles to decern what in that 120 minute window to record. Now I don't know how some shows on cable that dont have episode names will work out such as World Series of Poker and some Reality stuff that just go by Show names. There has to be a good way to do this though because its done in other PVR's. Props to the sub though. Hopefully he understands that we are just trying to help make a good product.

I've got some code that I'm trying to translate from VB6 and raw C to a C# plug-in. The C# version uses...

private Process myProcess;

...to spawn an external application (along with the Process.StartInfo needed for exe name, window style etc.).

The app starts fine but I then need to use the equivalent of SendMessage() for IPC and I can't quite get my head around how this will work with the Process object I've created.

Any help would be gratefully received.

I am trying to figure out why live TV on GBPVR only runs for a few minutes before

crashing my PC

and was looking through the logs to see if anything looks like if could be a possible
cause. Looking at the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log it seemed strange to me that it
keeps repeating SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll() every couple of seconds. Could
anyone confirm if this is normal or indicates a problem?

Finally managed to get an example of the log showing a crash whilst trying to view live

TV from my MVP only lasted a few seconds then crashed locking up the pc requiring a
power cycle.

A file was created in R:\gbpvr\buffer called TV-1-320050719_2201.mpg with a size of
288KB which only seems to be one low quality frame.

Does this log give any big clues as to what is happening? any help appreciated.

It's a pretty tall order, I know. But I use Girder to control GB-PVR and it'd be nice not to have to run the interface each time I want to see what's going to record next or the status of each scheduled recording. I'm sure that there is other info that could be useful.

Maybe the GBtray agent could offer payloads for Girder (or any other program for that matter) to use, a la Zoomplayer. Schweet.

PS - Great program by the way! Thanks a lot.....

When I click on pause, got message "switching to timeshift" mode but the tv screen never returns to normal & GPPVR stops to respond. Recording did start and continued, as I can see the file created & grows in size until I end GBPVR using Windows task manager.

One small installation glitch (may not be related) is that I install under one user account, try to run it under another account, failed, install it again using the 2nd account. I'm not sure how to wipe out an existing installation & start from scratch.

Any help to get my system going will be much appreciated.

BTW, I had GBPRV working before on Windows 2000 Server, same hardware as current setup.
