I am looking for a little advice on how to change the channels on my set top box. I have a new silver samsung box that has replace the hideously unreliable pace one. I also have a red-eye serial ir sender. This was all working fine on my old setup, but I am having some problems with the new.
I've change the protocol that the red-eye is using to rc5, and the reddemo program is working fine.
However, I'm using the command line program from the red-eye site to change channel within gbpvr, and it doesn't seem to work properly. It is almost as if the channel numbers are being sent too fast and the box isn't responding to all the numbers.
Can anyone tell me what settings they are using in this situation? I am looking forward to getting my new pvr box all up and running!
I noticed that my MVP looses audio sync in most (if not all) NTSC AVI videos using 23.976 FPS. I wanted to find a way to convert the framerate to 29.970FPS without audio desynch.... I know it can be done with TMPGenc and encode to MPEG2, but was looking for a way to keep a DivX output... Anyone has good guides on how to do this? I checked http://www.videohelp.com but couldn't find anything that worked...
I have been toying around with Virtualdub for a couple of hours now, can't figure it out...
it would be nice if gbpvr could adjust the screen (well the menu) to fit your tv screen, similar to how xbmc does it (or even mediaportal) when you move a marker to where the topleft position is and the bottom right position, this could cut down on overscan issues, and make the every skin work better. even if you dont want to do the interface sub, it would be nice if there was an option in the config.xml file (and a helper method to update gbpvr via a api call) for this, then i could do the plugin interface myself. so say the normal screen dimensions are 0,0,720,480. say my tv best fits this 20,20,684,457, then all you have to do is take the original image (the 0,0,720,480 image) and draw it in the rectangle (20,20,684,457).
so any chance of this? would save people having to edit the skins (well most small edits) to fit their tv.
I was deleting radio stations and I noticed that if you select more than one and click delete it crashes. I've rebooted and recrated this several times so I think it's pretty consistant. It's not a major problem, jsut something I noticed.
I used to use Media Portal but GBPVR has a much nicer polish overall, well done Sub!

While this forum isn't exactly the place for this, there's alot of helpful and knowledgable folks here, so I'm hoping someone's run into this before and knows a fix.
I've got an old PVR-250 I've been using for years. Model 48011 Rev. F310. I haven't used the onboard tuner in quite some time, I've been capturing direct through S-video. I know the tuner used to work though.
I recently connected the cable feed to it, and tried an auto-tune. It takes a long time, and find 4-5 channels tops. The ones that it finds aren't even channels, just static mostly.
I've verified that the cable, as well as the feed are fine.
The motherboard is an MSI Nforce with an AMD 1600xp running XP SP2. I've tried every slot in the mb to no avail. I've reloaded drivers, old and new. No luck. I've tried manually entering a cable channel frequency and then fine tune up/down from there, no go, just varying amounts of static.
It's as if it were either trying to use the wrong type of tuner, or it's having trouble controlling the tuner.
I could swear way back when I first got this card, that they were sensative to IRQ's used. I started off with it being at IRQ 16, and from moving it from slot to slot, it's currently at IRQ 19. I'm wondering if that's the problem, but I can't choose the IRQ, and my BIOS won't let me assign it per slot to see.
Has anyone seen this and know of a fix? I'm not holding my breath on Hauppauge answering my tech support request with any form of help.
OK - I have my bare-bones plugin sorted. I now need to start/stop a net radio playback from within it. Should I be using PlayAudioFile() and pass it a URL? That's all I've seen so far that looks close (haven't tried it yet though).
I have the latest stable versions of both GBPVR, DVDDecrypter, and the DVD ripper plugin. The ripper pluggin works fine, but when trying to play back the ripped DVD, GBPVR locks up. The ripped DVD plays fine with InterVideo's WinDVD player. Any ideas?
