I installed a fresh gb-pvr 92.11 and the latest XRecord yesterday (win2k box) and I can't set up a seasons recording for "Les experts: Manhattan" (CSI:NY in French, I'm in Belgium btw).
I can set it up manually, but if I try to record the whole series (with either XRecord or TV Guide) it appears under reoccuring but not pending.
I read an old thread about a similar problem with ":" in the title but that was from aug 2004 and Jorm mentionned it would be fixed so I'm thinking this is something else (I also tried changing Mixedmode value to true in the XRecord skin to no avail).
Of course I had everything working on my previous install (23.13) so any pointers would be helpful.
I would like to have the ability for the GBPVR recording service to turn OFF the external receivers when not in use. Then turn them on when it needs to record something from them.
i just moved to a new city and now i have Satelite TV instead of cable. I like GBPVR a lot so i want to stick with it and bought a Twinhan DVB-S card with CI Module.
However i cannot install the BDA driver for this card. The Twinhan setup.exe tells me "This driver is intended for MCE2005". I have Windows 2000 ... is there a chance i can install the driver another way and how ?
Sorry if this isn't the best location for this post.
I was wondering if any of the Plugin Developers are interested in creating a DV plugin. I'm not a programer, so I have no idea how much time and effort this would take but I would help any way I can.
I'm looking for a "simple" plugin that would allow users to display DV camcorder footage, connected via 1394a, though GBPVR, and pass the transport functions, play/rrw/fw/stop, from the GBPVR interface to the camera. It wouldn't even need a skin (like the stock DVD plugin).
I'm not interested in capturing (although that might be nice), Just playback.
Some time ago, it was talk about putting plugins in categories. Well, I've just added a CategoryBrowser to the wiki. You may now add pages to categories by specifying
Code:
Categories: [[!Music]] [[!Replacement]]
(if it belongs to those categories), at the bottom of the page.
You may also add new categories as you see fit.
So far, I've just experimented a little with the Music and Replacement categories.
I know someone asked for a pagebreak functionality on the wiki, but can't figure out who it was. I have now found out how to do it, so I'm looking for that someone to be a guinea pig :p (To validate the solution and see if it is what we want.)
Ok, I'm not sure this is the good section but anyway...
I've set my remote control to launch GBPVR as : gbpvr.exe -direct "Live TV" - UpdateEPG, all is working fine except the MyVideo/MyMusic plugins : both of them provide an error about an objet reference witch is not defined. The strangest thing is that everything is working fine when I launch GBPVR by hand (or with no parameters), I can browse video, music and whatever... So confirguration is the same, and nothing is changed/dammage
So i'm not sure it it directly related to GBPVR or plugins but i guess this is definitively not the way it should work, right ?

Hi,
I know that GBPVR asks if you want to resume if you played the recording already but what I would like to do is set bookmarks so I can quickly jump to specific scenes (i.e. the end of the commercial, etc.). Any chance this has been / is going to be implemented ?
I want to record the Mythbusters series on Discovery. I know you can record seasons of a perticular show, but the mythbusters series show up as different shows in my EPG. This is because the shows show up in the EPG with a subtitle.
I would like to be able to record all instances of Mythbusters, no matter what the subtitle is.
Anyone got an idea what I'm talking about And more important, does anyone have a solution ? Maybe I'm doing something wrong. In that case, please correct me and show me the right way :p
With the exception of the Xmedia skin, every other skin I put into the skins folder results in error "object reference not set to an instance of an object" when I try to enter the Recordings menu after starting GBPVR with the new skin.
