I noticed that in SageTV, it has a feature "Additional Airings" of a particular program. It would be nifty if GB-PVR incorporates that as well.
Also I noticed in the Search Guide that I couldn't search for $40-a-Day (with Rachel Ray) because there's no $ index and the program doesn't show up as 40$-a-Day or Forty Dollars a Day in the Guide.
Hi,
Subject says it all. I have a show set to record repeatedly, and every once in a while the show just fails to record, but leaves a 0 KB file and says "Ready", like everything went fine. Then when I go to play it, it goes to the "contacting servers" screen, presumably because something can't handle this exceptional case. Anyone else had this problem? My only thought is that perhaps I can try manually tuning the frequency, but in the past I've only done that when I get no audio, or some more obvious problem. By the way, my hard drive has plenty of space. Thanks,
Hi,
I have periodically observed that when a conflict occurs, and you go and resolve the conflict, that it still shows up as a conflict and there appears to be nothing else to do. In fact, when you try to resolve it again, it simply says "leave as is" or whatever, with no choice but to exit, but the conflict remains in the conflict menu. Is this a known problem? Anything I can do about it? Thanks,
sub im not sure if i left this in the verbose("requiresMoreRendering") somewhere (i did a search and couldnt find it, but i may have missed it) or if gbpvr prints this out to the log when ever requiresMoreRendering is set to true. in that case, is there anychance you could turn it off in the next release? im doing animations with fading images in/out for slideshows in my pics, and that is printed out a lot in my log (left it for an hour and my gbpvr.exe.log file is 55007 lines long ).
Just what the subject says.
Comskip runs, but nothing else.
Here's the contents:
comskip %1 > comskip.log
CALL comclean %1
RenameRecordings %1 > renamerecordings.log
Hopefully this is an easy one...(I've already done a quick search)...
I just installed GBPVR on a WinXP Home system with a new WinTV-PVR-350. For the most part, it works great. One problem I'm having is this: Sometimes I just want to hit the record button on the remote and have it record whatever channel it's on until I feel like stopping it (e.g. when I'm working outside or eating dinner). When I do this, I see .mpg files being generated in the "Live Recording" directory, but when the program switches to another one, most of the previous ones disappear, which renders my recording useless. The first .mpg generated with the recording stays there, and the last one as well, but all the ones in between disappear. What I see in the log file is this bit:
Code:
7/4/2005 5:06:04 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:06 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:08 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:09 PM.281 VERBOSE [31] Checking if GB-PVR can remove: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\My Documents\My Live Recording\NASCAR Victory Lane_1_20050704_16001700.mpg
7/4/2005 5:06:09 PM.343 VERBOSE [31] LiveTV file removed: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\My Documents\My Live Recording\NASCAR Victory Lane_1_20050704_16001700.mpg
7/4/2005 5:06:10 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:10 PM.359 VERBOSE [31] Checking if GB-PVR can remove: C:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\My Documents\My Live Recording\NASCAR Nation_1_20050704_17001730.mpg
7/4/2005 5:06:12 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:14 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
7/4/2005 5:06:16 PM.250 VERBOSE [249] SourceConfigurationContainer.LoadAll()
It's checking if it can remove these files, then does. I don't want it to. Is there any way to change that?
I just looked through the rest of the log file, and it does the "Checking if GB-PVR can remove" on the file that's sticking around, and it does have a "LiveTV file removed" line on that, but the file's still there. I can post the entire log file as an attachment if it will help.
Just wondered whether there would be an easy way to set up task images for custom tasks - I have a couple of these on the main menu, and of course they are the only two without task images. (I tell a lie - apparently the DVD player is missing one as well).
This may be a wishlist thing, along with sub-menu task images, but if anyone can suggest a currently working solution, that would be great.
I have been looking around at software, and I have been through MythTV, Media Portal and now I am on GBPVR, and by far, I am most impressed with GBPVR. I only have one problem (right now anyways)
I noticed that in gbpvr, that you cant rewind live TV unless you thought to turn on timeshift mode beforehand. I was wondering if there is a way to make timeshift mode always be on, so that I could just flip channels, and then rewind if I need to.
I epecially like the built in support for MVPs! I'm having some issues with that though... but thats for a later time.
