work with a cable box ?
Posted by: rh71 - 2005-06-26, 02:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

It seems to me (a newbie) that I cannot use the tv guide to switch/view channels because my tv feed is coming from the cable box. Clicking on a show does not switch my cable box' channel. How do people get around this problem ?

using PVR-150MCE.

  launching full screen

is their a way to get gb-pvr to launch in full screen? ... i dont mind hitting the alt-enter every time .. but their should be a way to do it in the command line or the short cut ( best the shortcut does is full window , that still give a top bar and the start bar )

  web admin
Posted by: lucindrea - 2005-06-26, 01:14 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

ok this may or may not be in the correct place in the forum ..

when i search for
Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application.

i get allot of messages saying how you should goto url/gbpvr/index.aspx.. etc

but i seems to me that their is just a path error somewhere .. now looking at the web dir it looks like most of the stuff is in c#?! so i dont even know where to start to change it ...
anyone know where the web interface is getting any of it's settings from? it doesnt make a ton of sense to not have the option to just put the ip their and have it default to gbpvr dir

  Channel changed on recording
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2005-06-26, 12:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I was watching a recorded show that was about 2 hours long. It was recorded on my last channel--#61. About 10-15 minutes before it ended, the file showed a different channel--channel 2 (the first channel on my list). Anyone have any idea what the problem might be. It's as if something went awry with the frequency or something.

Comclean not working - help please
Posted by: linfor - 2005-06-26, 09:16 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (14)

I installed comclean per the instructions. However, it is not cleaning. It renames the mpeg file to original at the end of the process but it does not generate the cleaned mpeg.
I reinstalled it with same results.
i read the posts about comclean but cannot find a solution.
Thanks

Anyone able to make a dreambox plugin for GB-PVR
Posted by: ninja77 - 2005-06-25, 08:04 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Anyone able to make a dreambox plugin for GB-PVR .

Theres a script for XBMC on a modded xbox for watching and recording tv from the dreambox and it would be cool if some code make a similiar plugin for gb-pvr. Using xmltv, a great idea would be able to see whats on at for example 7pm on CNN next saturday and be able to select "record with dreambox". On the dreambox and its web interface you only get now and next epg(so you cant set something to record thats on in a week or so unless you look up when its on and channel details etc and add it manually on the dreambox, but with xmltv you can get a few weeks epg.

But im not a coder, just taught id post this here, some clever person might know how to attempt something

Heres a screenshot of setting up a recording - another button saying record with dreambox would be heaven

Webadmin "Play Program" over a network
Posted by: superqix - 2005-06-25, 06:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

When I click the "Play Program" in the web admin, it only works on the local machine. On my other systems I can connect to the web admin, click play program, and it just sits there.

I'd like to get the the file to stream to another system on my network. The M3U file has the right IP address, and there is no software firewall on my GBPVR box.

I've tried Winamp and MediaPlayer, installing all kinds of codecs, and nothing works. Any ideas?

  Newbie would like some help.
Posted by: fatjerry - 2005-06-25, 05:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,
I have been using GBPVR for a couple of months now and I am generally very pleased with what it is doing for me. I am recording off a Sky STB with a PVR-150 and playing back with MediaMVP on to my TV. My only real problem is that the picture is a bit dark and colourless but I can't work out how to correct this!
My question is how do I adjust brightness/colour settings on my recordings and/or playback? I have read through the forum but I'm afraid most of the posts that seem to relate to this very quickly get too technical for me and I get lost. If someone is willing to help me out with my dumb questions I will be very grateful.
