OK, I know it says you have to have 2000 or XP for GBPVR. But... I just got an older NT machine that I would love to do some testing on without buying another copy of XP. Will NT work or do I really need 2000 or XP?

please excuse me if this question has been answered before but I just wanted to know if GB-PVR supports Lifeview Walker ultra with the remote being able to control the application. Also any general comments about the Lifeview Walker ultra would be helpful. I want to buy this tuner as it seems compatible with different systems and is also quite compact.
Since re-installing my PC I don't seem to get the file/programme position indicator across the top of the screen when watching recorded programmes thro gbpvr on PC. The play,pause, skip, menu etc. symbols/buttons have also disappeared on the bottom third of the screen. I used to get these whenever I moved the mouse. The playback line also showed where the adverts where when I used comskip.
Note: Using gbpvr 9112b.
File/programme position indicator has also disappeared when playing back thro MVP. I know this was working last night before I installed Norton Internet Security, Nero, etc. I have noticed this before, but have been trying to get everything else working, so have ignored. Has anyone else had this problem ?
Have uninstalled gbpvr, deleted devnz/gbpvr directory and re-installed.
I am running MCE 2005 and 2 150mce cards. Both cards work perfectly in MCE but in gbpvr, card 2 works perfectly but card 1 does video and no sound at all just a bunch of clicks/popping. Why would only one card fail?
Second issue, Fireup gbpvr and get 16:9 aspect ratio as desired on live tv. As soon as I hit pause, it drops into 4:3. Why is this and how do I keep it in 16:9? Thanks!
Hi, I've been playing around with GB-PVR for the last couple days and it's definitely more flexible and faster than MCE2005. The only thing is, is it supposed to use up around 120 megs of ram on startup? I mean, it isn't a big deal or anything, but it seems like such an efficient program and it feels kind of strange for it to be using up so much ram when it's not doing anything. Thanks.
Is there any reason other than to extend the viewing to another TV to actually have a Media MVP if your main PVR box is sat next to the tv and connected directly in.
I am looking to finalise my PVR set up and wondering if it is actuall worth bothering with an MVP.

I'm about to get my own PVR set up going. I like the look of the email reader/composer plugins that people have been talking about. What I'd like to know is:
Is it possible to write a plugin that pops up an alert when you receive an email (such as MSN Messenger does when your buddy logs in), and perhaps scrolls the message as a ticker tape at the bottom of the screen? All this while you're watching live TV or a recording?
Also, is it possible to train GBPVR to be used with any remote control? As I would ideally like to use a UK Sky Plus remote control... these have flip-open keyboards which could be used to type a response to an email! Am I asking for too much here, or is this all theoretically possible?
I'm renovating my house and have tore down a ceiling. I was going to run SVIDEO, Composite Cables, and a remote cable from my PC in my office to my living room (about 17ft) but I've been thinking should I buy a MVP and just run a network cable? Whatcha think?? I think I'll run a network cable anyway just in case I do buy one.
