Hello guys. I really need help from the Masters of GBPVR. I am using the latest GBPVR (downloaded just a couple of days ago) and Hauppauge PVR 150. My OS is Win XP SP2. I can watch live tv and was also able to use my remote control to change channels and such. EPG is working too. But the main thing which is recording a program is NOT working. When I schedule a program to be recorded, the Pending section shows that the program is scheduled but nothing happens afterwards. I have tried it many times but with same result. When I check GBPVR after many hours, it still says the program is scheduled. When I check the GBPVR icon in the systray for the status it says "Capture Device #1 sleeping". Also the files are created on my hard drive but with zero buyte lengths which means nothing was recorded.
So what am I doing wrong? or what should I do to make this recording work.
One more thing, after I do all that and try to watch live tv, it gives me an error "The device is actively refusing connection.." or something like that. I then have to reboot the pc and reintialize GBPVR to watch live tv again.
What a great program, got it working flawlessly without any major problem. The only thing that I cannot figure out is how to set the Windows Firewall (Windows XP PRO SP2) to allow connections to the Webadmin. I tried allowing gbpvr.exe but to no avail. Any suggestions?
Have been using a Hauppauge PVR250 to record via composite video for a while using WinTV2K. The recordings are fine with no issues.
Just installed GBPVR to try it out. Installed okay and there were no problems at all. But have noticed that the programs it records using the same PVR250 and video input have random video noise in them (see attached image). Since I am guessing GBPVR uses the same software chain to record as WinTV2K I am a a loss to work out why this noise appears
Anybody with any ideas?
System is a Athlon XP 2000+, Shuttle XPC case/MB, WinXP SP2, GBPVR version 0.91.12
The radio playback sound quality can be better. The LAME MP3 codec is used to convert the cable radiochannel. Is it possible to increase the bitrate? If yes, how?
i have a problem in my videos where at load LoadRecordingSchedule() causes me problems and forces my videos to stop loading, and gbpvr to restart loading every plugin, trapping it in a forever loop and maxing out the cpu and ram. this problem has been in my videos for a while, and only know have i found out why. im using this code
anyway when i run this the GetScheduledRecordings doesnt even get called it crashes somewhere before then (the same line of code, just before the method is called, found this out by useful debug lines ). im just wondering if anyone knows why this is happening and how i can fix this.
i put a temp fix on it by using a boolean LOADING, which i set to true when my vids is created and false once all the loading is done, and when LOADING=true i just skip this method.
i can use this fix without much problems, but if a entry in the myvids database doesnt exist for a file, it will check the recordingschedule to see if a description exists in there (and when loading it checks the virtual root + paused files... which is how i discovered the problem). paused files isnt a problem since that is refreshed whenever a videostopping event happens. but the root never gets refreshed (well hardly ever, it might do i have to check the code).
i think this is the same problem jeff was having with vidarch awhile ago.
I just installed GB-PVR and am pretty impressed with it. Up till now I have been using WinTV2K with the Hauppauge PVR-250 card, recording via the composite video ouput from my Telstraclear (NZ) cable box. But to make sure the channels are okay I have been using a remote control with macro facility (it can change the cable box to the channel to record at a designated time).
It works well most of the time unless I forget to program the remote :-(
Anyway thought it would be much easier to do it one step and use GB-PVR and the USB-UIRT interface and get the TV listings from http://mr.geek.nz/epg/. I have just purchased the USB-UIRT and now realised I didn't check to see if it will control the TCL cable box (I have the GI SurfView box). And of course, didn't think to check what would happen when TCL moves to digital cable and a newer cable box. Should I have purchased the USB-UIRT with the 56KHz option? (not sure why that option exists)
Having trouble getting gbpvr to work with my ATI Theatre Pro card. When I select Live TV the window goes black and locks up my machine after about 2 seconds. I can play DVDs and music etc and the epg works. Downloaded the latest drivers for the card from ATI. Have the latest copy of gbpvr that includes support for this card. The software that came with the card Power Cinema 3 works fine. Any ideas. Thanks ...
