Web Admin not showing Channel Listings
Posted by: wattsy - 2005-05-05, 03:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Not sure if this counts as a Core component sorry if it's in the wrong forum

I have just enabled the Web Admin tool and can get access to
Manage Recordings but when I select TV Listings I do not get anything other
the time bar at the top
I do not have any problems downloading listings using XMLTV-RT and importing them into GBPVR and they show fine within GBPVR just not Web Admin.

I have removed gbweb.dll and pdb as suggested in another thread but for different reason (Just thought I'd try it) and this made absolutley no difference

What am I doing wrong??

  Divx/avi playback
Posted by: fpeyaud - 2005-05-05, 02:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have heard 2 conflicting sides to this story...can someone confirm if GBPVR can play divx and avi files or not?

If yes, will they play over the MVP?
Do I need any extra software/plugin (divx decoder...or whatever else)?

Thanks!
Fabien

Tuning problem only on one channel
Posted by: bbasiaga - 2005-05-05, 01:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hello,

I have cable tv running into my WinTV PVR350. The picture looks great on my monitor, as well as on my TV (though MVP), except on one channel. It is cable channel 8, which is broadcast channel 6, our local NBC affiliate. The best way I can describe it is that its like looking at the picture through a pair of translucent black drapes - you can make out shapes but the detail is not enough to make out faces or small objects.

Is there a way to tune this? The rest of the channels are crystal clear, so why would this one be a problem? I'd hate to fix this one at the expense of the others, but then again some of the shows we'd like to record regularly are on this channel.

Thanks,
Brian

MVP Live TV problem with Chinese EPG
Posted by: wlli - 2005-05-05, 01:03 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

When I set up the chinese big-5 EPG in the GBPVR. Both the Live TV and MPEG will reset the MVP. Did anyone have any idea on this issue?

My machine setting is , AMD XP3200+, 1G RAM, KM400A MSI motherboard, 6600 display card and PVR150 TV card.

N.B. The system worked fine when no EPG is used!

  Language files
Posted by: Senior47 - 2005-05-05, 09:39 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (10)

I’ve been looking through the Swedish and Danish language file and noticed they are a bit different, not holding the same information. Anyone know why? Are they just different program versions?
- If there is a Swedish and Danish language file, there have to be a Norwegian language file too Wink

Is there any language files for the other plugins, like “mymusic”, or isn’t it possible to translate these?

  Question on Comskip
Posted by: jdsnov73 - 2005-05-05, 07:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (24)

I have been reading all the posts regarding comskip, and for some reason I can not get it to work for me. I have copied the (3) required files to the correct folder, but nothing happens after the recordings are done.

I do not have the Postprocessing.bat file in this folder, which I've seen talked about in many of the prior posts.

I have tried to run the .exe file on its own, but it closes just after I open it.

I don't know what is wrong. From all the posts I've read, it should be very straight forward.

Let me know if I am missing something.

Thanks

  PVR-500 problems
Posted by: goatboyjr - 2005-05-05, 07:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

So I don't know if I should feel stupid or not but I am going to go ahead and say what my problem is and see if anyone can help. I've seen a few of the problems I have in other threads but without solutions. For reference, I'm running a PVR-500 in an Athlon 1700+ machine. So...

The first problem I am having is no files being created when I record, despite the little monitor going green and saying it's recording.

Secondly, in the Configuration under Playback I can't get the hardware decoder to work, only software, and oddly it gives me two options, one which is PVR-350 and the other Sigma Designs XCard. If I select PVR-350 I'll get a complaint that the PVR-350 can't be found (duh!). If I select the XCard, when I boot up GBPVR it says "Error: External component has thrown an exception". I can close the error box and go to the guide and try to start a program and get an error message with Just In Time error code (whatever that is). I can post that code is someone thinks it'll be helpful.

It's a little frustrating to have it partially work. I see what it can do and want it so bad. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks,

Martin

  Mpeg2

It seems all of my recordings are in MPEG1(.mpg) and this causes me grief when i use my MVP (no timestamp, no FF/SKIP). How do you record them into MPEG2 format? Or am i way off base?
