So last night my wife and I are watching a pre-recroded program when I set my glass down on the table. It hit the power button on the MVP remote and shut it off. I then had to turn it back on, and hold the FF button down until we get back to where we were in the program.

My question is if there is a way to use the number pad to key in an absolute time to jump to that time in the playback.

Thanks!

If you want to jump forward 20 minutes, just type '20' then press skip.

Damn -- it was the "skip" part I was missing. I was hitting all of the numbers, then #, *, red, green, blue, etc!

Thanks again!

Sub, Is there a way to jump , say to the 40th minute (Absolute Positioning), instead of jumping forward or backward by minutes (Relative Positioning) ?

Say I am almost finished watching a show. Now, If I want to go to the middle of the show I have to go 200 |< (or something big). Wait for it to jump back then calculate the middle (say 45 minutes), press 45 |> and play around until you get it fine.

I would like to press 4 0 enter, so that that takes me to the 40th minute.

You mention on other threads that you can jump on DVD playback from the 2nd Chapter to the 10th chapter by pressing 1 0 Enter. That is an absolute jump to the 10th chapter.

I would like to do the same on mpg playback.
