Tried with the UI client (still 2.7.0, new one hasn't come through yet), GUI/EPG looks fine, but it runs video for about 3 minutes on average before exiting back to the EPG. Sometimes the video hangs for a while (say 20 seconds), then runs fast-forward to catch up; the eventual end may be just a worst-case one of these.
This is a different client than the one in the previous report, but also Ubuntu client, same v4 server. This one is talking to the server across the internet.
Following this thread, artwork is well displayed on my Kodi Guide which is installed on the same PC than NextPVR backend server, but aren't on my 2 others LAN PC with Kodi LibreElec.
Recently I've noticed a new behaviour. If I leave NextPVR unattended for some time (maybe 30 minutes or more) when I return to it the screen is black. I can get the screen to respond by requesting Live TV and this works OK. I can also navigate the EPG from Live TV. If I shut the NextPVR screen and restart it the Channel Guide is displayed.
I haven't changed the power scheme or made any other Win10 changes. The only other change is to relocate my recording folder to a NAS drive. Recordings are working OK.
I've seen other descriptions of black screen incidents but these symptoms are different to those I see. Some responders ask about Decoders. I'm using EVR Video Renderer and LAV for Video and Audio Decoders. I haven't made any changes to NextPVR settings other that for the Recording Directory.
When creating a new schedule selecting all channels does not work, it reverts to This Channel when the schedule is saved. This also applies when editing an existing schedule.
I don't seem to be getting AC3 audio anymore. I'm using HDMI for both video and audio. I used to use Component/SPDIF. Shows that show as "Dolby" on the FIOS STB seem to record as AAC LC according to Mediainfo. I've checked setting on STB and they look fine. I can go back to SPDIF if needed, but really don't want to. Latest NextPVR version, windows 10 1903, Colossus 2 with latest driver. Any ideas? This is a new system with a new install of NPVR. Possible I just forgot something.
For some programs i have "bad" arworks. For instance, for a program "Non Stop" which is a show, i have a movie poster (beacause there is a movie with the french title "Non Stop".
Anyway, it seems that the issue comes from artwork downloaded from internet.
I disabled services others than Shedules Direct in NextPVR Artwork settings and it seems ok but i have some questions. I don't use Shedules Direct but a xml file which seems to have links to picture for at least some programs.
My questions :
Should i disable services like "TheTVDB", "TheMovieDatabase", "FanArt.tv" ?
Sould i keep "Shedules Direct" service even if i'm not a member ?
What about "Download Types" : should i disable all except "Thumbnails" ?
I didn't found a wiki page for "Artwork" settings. Does it exist somewhere ?
I am attempting to run NextPVR on RaspberryPi using Docker install.
I have it up and running and can reach the web interface. It can see my HDHomeRun tuners and even does a scan and pulls in my local channels.
However I click watch and it fails. (Streaming failed transcoder exit)
to start here is the commands I run:
sudo docker run -d \
--volume /home/pi/config:/config \
--volume /home/pi/videos:/recordings \
--volume /home/pi/videos:/buffer \
--publish 8866:8866 \
--env HOST_IP=192.168.86.49 \
--env HOST_IP=192.168.86.50 \
--publish 8020-8030:8020-8030/udp \
nextpvr/nextpvr_arm32v7:latest
P.S. - I currently do not have Schedule Direct configured and have not added NAS for storage. Just want to get the concept up and running. (baby steps)
My Sony Android TV running Kodi 18.3 just updated to 18.4 and with knewc 2.7.0 running seems to have developed an issue playing shows from the Videos menu where it jumps out and overlays the Kodi screen over the playing knewc (NPVR) show. Hitting "back" goes back in but then a few minutes later it freezes.
I wil try to get logs but it's like there's someone sending remote codes ... remotely.
Oddly, I get the same behaviour on the RPi3 box with LE and Kodi, where the common denominator is knewc.
Any chance of a recent glitch / change in Kodi or knewc? Could my keymappings be off?
