More musing from me.

Is it possible to control the output of an MVP (i.e., what is seen/heard on the remote TV) from the PC end? For example, you're sitting at your PC and you bring up GB-PVR and open the theoretical 'push streaming' plug-in, select a video recording, say, then tell it to play on the Living Room MVP, for example, then bring up a music playlist, say, and tell it to play on the Bedroom MVP.

I would like GB to not read the remote when it is already doing a remote function. My reason is that if you push the skip again while it is already doing a skip, it locks up. My dvd player remote works by increasing the ff speed with multiple pushes, so it is habit for me to push more than once in a row, never mind letting my kid use the remote. "Dad, it's locked up again"

All was good until yesterday, now GB takes like 30 seconds to load, and when it does, it loads 4 times. I don't think I change anything in the day or 2 before this started.

My GB-PVR system works great, no problems. However, I'm having a Windows networking problem that I don't understand and thought that perhaps some of you gurus wouold have some suggestions.

I have a lan at home with five Windows computers on it. I have a router that accesses the internet thru a cable box. All the machines have good access to the outside world...no problems there. The issue is that the machines can't see each other to share files, a printer, etc. I can ping all the boxes from each other and the My Network Places sees my workgroup but no machines in it. The other puzzling thing is that it was working fine up to a few days ago. I haven't changed anything that I know of. They are all running the Windows client and server with sharing enable but it doesn't work. I'm very puzzled by it, esp. since it's been working fine. I'm running XP on all the boxes, Pro on two and Home on the others. They're all at SP2 with the latest upgrades. I suspect that a service is not started but I don't know which ones should be running. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Is there any way to wake up my PC after it hibernates, my problem is that I do not have a mouse or keyboard attached to my computer. It is controlled over my network by PC Anywhere. I love how my computer will hibernate between recording shows, but I have to use the power button to turn it off and then turn it back on if I want to watch a show.

First my hardware:
haupaugage 350pvr for recording
Xcard for output.
Asus a7n8x-deluxe
sampron 2ghz

I did a upgrade to 09112b. LiveTV works flawless and also all recorder shows.
My problems comes when I try to watch divx.
The movie starts but there's no sound and the movie freezes after 15sec.
Updated the codecs(dont know if gbpvr use them), but that didn't helped.

Did a uninstall and also removed the gbpvr directory.
Installed version 0908 instead. Now LiveTV is very jerky but watching divx workes flawless.

Uninstalled again and went back to the new version(09112b). Same symptons as before. LiveTV workes flawless but divx freezes and has no sound.

Dont know what commercial skip point means(not using any commercial skip funktions) and the following error : Received event code: 13

Dont know how to fix this. I'm starting to wonder if I need to do a reinstall of the whole OS.

I have updated the Jukebox Plugin as follows:

- added support for id3v2 tags
- added support for reading album art from id3 tag
- improved button handling code (green button switches between file list and now playing, red and yellow buttons do not pass their action to file list when changing modes (to match the behavior of all the other buttons)

I like this plugin's functionality as it is simple and serves a specific purpose very well. If anybody has any requests, let me know.

I would like the code to be posted on the wiki so that the old version does not continue to be downloaded (and possibly updated by someone else) but I am new here and do not know how to get access. Please let me know and I will post the new code.

Also, GB-PVR does not seem to play MP3 files with v2.4 id3 tags. Is there any plan to support this in the future?

I've been using a Media MVP for the past few months for my music collection, and tried out gb pvr this week, and I'm really impressed. so impressed I'm going to buy a tv card. Am in UK and would like to be able to record freeview so am thinking of wintv nova-t (pci). after browsing the boards this morning I'd just like something clarified -

I understand that freeview(uk digital terrestrial) is broadcast in mpeg so there is no need for hardware mpeg encoding. does this mean there is no advantage to using a hardware encoder e.g. wintv-pvr 150 and a freeview box, rather than just a wintv nova-t card?

also if anyone has any other suggestions of cards/opinions on the nova etc I'd really like to hear them
