I have seen info posted about the upcoming MediaMVP, but I wanted to post an email I received about it. I was hoping they would reveal more...especially about new features.

Subject: Media MVP version
Hello,
I have spent some time the past few months considering the MediaMVP
product, as well as other competing devices.
I have read a number of sources citing that a wireless version of the
MVP is due out soon. I understand that until the product is released,
you are not able to give a 100% confirmation, but I was hoping that
you could give me (and others) some guidance on what is anticipated at
this point in time with regard to:
-Date of availability
-Wireless implementation - 802.11g? Built in or PCMCIA?
-*Will any additional features be available over the current incarnation?
-And finally, (and probably the hardest for you to answer) - any rough
ideas on MSRP?
I sincerely appreciate your time and response. I plan to share this
information with users of a number of HomeTheaterPC (HTPC) and
MediaCenter communities. many of whom are on the fence regarding a
decision to purchase this type of product.
On a side note; your Media MVP has generated much excitement in the
community, and many of us are waiting to see what comes in future
revisions.
I am pretty much a newb to GB-PVR so there could be something totally obvious that i am overlooking, but i get the error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" whenever i click on the live tv button in GB-PVR. I have my capture card set up and the guide works and even records. What am i missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Let me first congratulate all involved with the development of this SW, it is pretty impressive. In a couple of hours I had everything up and running including EPG.
Used HW : Cinergy TV 400 via SWRecorder.
So, what's my problem :
Viewing a channel in LiveTV, video and sound are OK, but whenever I change channel (via up/down key), the audio starts producing static. Changing channels again (even to the 1st channel) produces only static. If I fall back to the Main Menu via ESC and go back to LiveTV, everything's fine again.
This is extremely reproducable : it has happened every time so far.
Logs in attach.
The basic problem, before y'all start suggesting changing audio settings, is that the first channel works perfectly. Is there maybe some sort of (re)initialization of the audio device which is done on leaving LiveTV, but not on changing channels ?
When I´m watching a movie/show on MVP which is still recorded, the timeline is not being updated (e.g. when I start watching 30 minutes after start the timeline stays at this time stopping the replay there).
Is there a button to update the timeline on MVP?
I have tried everything I can to get this setup but I can't get any Live TV picture nor will my recordings show any picture or sound.
I have a basic co-axial ariel cable going into a receiver at the back of my PC, and have downloaded the EPG XML file from AlanBirtles.com. My source setup is as follows:
Recording Source: Direct Recording Plugin
- Haupppage 250 with fm radio
- UK
- Capture Device #1
- Internal tuner, Tuning: Antenna
EPG Source: XMLTV Plugin
I have all the channels setup in the Channels Window.
Please can you give me any pointers on what else I need to do to get a signal? I'm really struggling!!
Is anyone else having Zap2It problems? Ever since the last upgrade, my listings doesn't work at all. When I use the config program to update it, the dialog shows "requesting information" but that's all it does. No errors show up in the log, but when I go to look at the schedule it says that no channels have been set up. Also, no channels appear in the setup anymore either. Any ideas?
I can get 2 PVR150mces for $134, one PVR500mce for $136. If I go with the first option I plan on getting two PVR150mce, replace the one in my current box with a 150mce and put the new 150mce and current 150 in the new dedicated HTPC box.
Several stations that used to be on my TV listing aren't there anymore.....
I have posted with ZAP2IT, but, I'm not getting any response. My cable provider hasn't changed a thing in months, so the listings should be there. But, they aren't listed on the ZAP2IT lineup page anymore.
Any ideas on what happened? I can't get them to respond - is anyone else having these problems?
