Hello.
You already mentioned that it might come in a future release.
Would be nice if I could directly record to DIVX using MP3 Audio Instead of MP2.
DIVX Network players like the KISS DP-500 would be able to play back sound.
Hi all,
just getting all my bits together to set up gbpvr
I've got the Hauppauge WinTV-PVR2 USB2.0 and I was wanting to use this to capture TV from a Sky Digibox. My understanding is that the pvr doesn't have an ir transmitter, so I would need another bit of kit to change the channels.
I was looking at the Microsoft MCE remote which comes with an ir transmitter, and was wondering if anyone has tried to use this with gbpvr??
I have installed GB-PVR and all the functions work, except the watch live tv one. When i select it, it will play sound, but the screen is blank. I am using a Hauppage Win tv usb2 pcr and had it working before, but after i restarted the computer, it would not work.
I have been reading the threads and have searched but haven't found the answer to my question.
If I have an MVP running off the GBPVR server on my computer. Can I use another remote to run Hauppauge's Win2000 TV software or GBPVR on the same computer that is acting as the MVP server? Or will the 2 remotes conflict with each other? I assume I'll need IR.exe running?
This is the same release as a couple of days ago, but fixes one specific bug. If you dont use BDA, there is probably no point in upgrading. From the change.log:
Quote:2005-03-25 v0.91.8 - Same release as last time but fixed one bug with BDA channel scanning.
And just reminder what was included in the v0.91.7 maintenance release from a couple of days ago:
Quote:2005-03-22 v0.91.7
- Fixed a bug that stopped the user being able to learn a remote with the USB-UIRT.
- Had another go at fixing the bug with pre/post padding. Hopefully this time...
- Added some improvements to how shows are allocated to capture sources so that we'll get better usage of tuners in multi capture-source setups.
- Added 'MVP Transcode pre-play delay' option. Slower machines may need to increase this value to play AVI files on their MVP.
- Added a setting for trying to force the use of ffdshow (if installed) for MVP AVI transcoding. This can be usefull if you have a lot of non-fullscreen AVIs that you want to view on your MVP, or if your want to tweak the image size/color/shape/etc.
- Fixed a bug that could stop web components from being updated during an upgrade from a previous version.
- Fixed a bug where the 'force minimal OSD on MVP' was also being used on the PC monitor in Live Preview mode TV.
- Fixed a problem with the alpha channel when using the VMR7 renderer. It could previously cause a very dark (almost opaque) screen when the OSD was visible.
- Fixed a bug with the tray icon's UpdateEPG menu option.
- Fixed a bug that could cause a 'object reference not set' error if you entered the TV Guide before it have finished its background initialization.
- Fixed a bug that could cause a black screen directly accessing a plugin using the -direct command line parameter
- Added support for BDA devices that user combined tuner/capture filter. This should now enable GB-PVR to work with the Nova-T USB2.
As always, if you're upgrading from a previous release back up your files first.
Not sure if anyone else uses it, but thought I should mention that I've uploaded the latest version of this skin to the wiki. As ever, it's basically just a version of the Flat Blue skin which I have altered to make a bit easier to read from across the room on my MVP, so the font sizes are as big as I can make them in most cases.
Updates since the last release are to bring it up to speed with:
GBPVR version 0.91.7
XRecord v2
My Videos v3.1
RssReader v4.2
All, I would like to propose that we create some standards for all blue skins. Let me know if you think I'm crazy.
Button attributes: White border, width = 4 Fill color = Black
Selected button attributes: White border, width = 4 Fill color = DarkBlue
Default Font: Arial (I know I know, right now it's Tahoma, but Tahoma really doesn't look good on a TV)
Any conflict related attribute: Fill color = Red
Well I'll leave it at that for now, but really this post is meant to start the discussion more than finalize anything. Let me know what you think. I think it would be nice if the default blue skin would adheare to some standards amongst the plugins. Now lets hear from you,
This is a question that I want to mainly pose to Reven, Jeff, and Jorm- all opionions are welcomed and encouraged.
Do you think we are ready to consolidate all of our (community ours - because they are really yours) databases?
I use XRecord and Video Archiver (I know I owe both of you a bug list and I will get it to you this weekend as promised-work has been hectic this past 2 weeks) and from reading several posts it seam that most video plugin users use my video....
It would be really cool if all video plugins share the same datasource.
If your table structures are still changing frequently, it would probably be a bad idea, however, if they are stable- well, it could be done.
