anyone ever heard of RAMDisk, or experimented with it? basically it emulates a HDD using RAM so you can allocate 50megs of you RAM as a 50mb hdd. thus greatly improving the speed.
you can download a shareware version from the above link. im going to give it a go, installing gbpvr into that RAMDisk so the database and stuff are all there, hopefully it will increase speed, and gbpvr installed is only about 30megs. also when it is shutdownt the ramdisk is saved as an image and that image is loaded when the system starts back up. also i think you can save the image say every 2hours.

I have a PVR-Setup using the USB2 PVR from hauggpauge, and I think this software is great, however I do regret that I cant seem to get the Program to run Fullscreen.
I have a 9600 and have it go right to the television, and the best I can do is maximise the window, but the little blue lines, while subtle, still bother me. Thanks for any help you have : )
I am new to GB-PVR but I have managed to get it all working with my WinTV-PVR250MCE tuner card and my Media-MPV (with the new style remote) thanks to all the information in the fourms; THANKS TO EVERYONE!
Is there a remote client for GB-PVR so that I can also view TV/recordings/etc on other machines on my local network (kinda like the Midea MVP)?
I do a manual "Update Config" from the config program (I am running 0.23.13). Â It receives the info from Zap2It and processes it, but only is giving me listings until Tues (it's Sun now). Â I always have a weeks worth. Â I am using Canadian listings for ExpressVu.
Has this happened to anyone else? Â This just started to happen. Â Any help would be appreciated.

GB-PVR works fine on the PC, but the MVP will not show pictures on mapped drives. I tried several ways, including folder, root, with and without the closing "\". I get various errors, but none will work.
I have Windows XP Pro on my main PC. (The GB-PVR machine)
I have Server 2000 on the other. The pictures are on a mirrored drive in the server to prevent loss with a drive failure.
I am not running any domains or AD.
User name and password is the same on both computers.
Hey there, I just installed GB-PVR and I think I have everything setup correctly. The problem is when I went to do an EPG Update with Zap2it, the program reports that it is updating information for a long while, and then it goes to "Processing Zap2it listings" this then sits there for a LONG time...it's running right now for about the last 20 minutes. There is a program running in my task manager called config.exe that's been using around 98% of the CPU cycles and more increduosly, 194,668k of memory. I believe it's part of the GB-PVR setup program. Any help on with what's going on?
I have a strange problem. Every time I watch live TV it creates a new file using the program name for the EPG. If the live TV runs over more than one program it does a new file for each program. I only realised this when I had filled a 120GB drive with about 70 programs!
Also live & net radio creates a new MP3 file every time, consecutively numbered.
I have a PVR350 and am using the latest version of GBPVR, although it was doing it before with the previous version going by the dates of the recordings.
Can anyone tell me whether a client-mode function is available for GBPVR? What I mean by this is rather than serving data to a Media MVP (or similar) over an ethernet connection, can the GBPVR serve up media streams to a client running on another computer, say, a wireless laptop? If so, what software on the laptop would be necessary?
i have a wintv pvr150 and would like to do broadcast tv plus my dishnetwork box. I should be able to do this some how using the composite in on the card but how?
