I got music library playing OGG files. Just install the OggDS Direct Show Filters you can find here. Hope that's a piece of useful information to you all.

I use FastFind to find a show I wan't to record, select it, get the detailed popup but only the exit button is availible. I'd like to be informed of why I can't record it.

I was supecting a conflict, and checked in the TV-listing, but there was no conflicting recordings showing.

I've read about building a Plugin for GBPVR and it seems no problem at all however I'm really looking to make a slight alteration to the TV Guide window to include my suggested plug-in. Where you select to record any given programme I wish to add an additional option. I'd like to avoid re-inventing your wheel by merely adding an additional button to what you have as opposed to me recreating a TV Guide to incorporate my proposed plugin.

At the moment it is Exit Record Quick Rec Watch I wish include my one. At least for testing purposes!

Can anyone point me to instructions on how to get a second homade serial port blaster to control a second cable box?  I got the first one working fine on com1 but dont know how and can't find out how to set up a second one on com2.  I couldn't run 2 copies of winlirc and with one copy running, I only see how to configure cone com port.

This is a utility that will read in a file called detector.xml and perform various checks trying to find new shows to record. When a show is found in the Episode Guide database, we will add any occurence of the show that is not already found to the GBPVR scheduler. If an episode is already in the scheduler it will not be re-added.

For example

Currently there are two detectors
<RecordByTitle? text="Stargate">
<RecordByDescription? text="Sylvester Stallone">

You can even specify things like record stargate only when it comes on channel# 45 between 1-5pm after the 15th.
<RecordByTitle? text="Behind the Stargate" channel="45"/>
starthour="1PM" startdate="12/15/2004" endhour="5PM"/>

Best to do all of this in xrecord that way you will not have to worry about xml or the syntax. You just use the wizard.

Got rid of the text file and replaced it with an xml file.

And am integrating it with XRecord? so you can update it via the mvp or all inside gbpvr. This includes adding and deleting. Eventually editing will be supported.
I added remove logic that will remove pending shows based on criteria.
Added time range so you can specify a start and end time for the show to record on. So you can specify 8pm-10pm.
Added date logic so you can specify it to start recording in Nov 1 and end in Aug 3 if you choose this is optional.
Channel logic that you can specify a channel to look at or all channels.

Using
Place the executable in the gbpvr directory. If you are working with detector.xml yourself that also must be in the gbpvr directory.

A log file is generated by AddReOccuring every time it runs. Also, any Console activity may be redirected to a file with the following command:

AddReOccuring.exe > filesadded.txt

You can either run this manually, create a Windows Scheduled Task, or add it to the PostUpdateEPG?.bat file. You'll want to keep an eye on your scheduled recordings, as the list can start to grow pretty quickly.

I have a request i have finally got a plugin going and just wondering how do you implement the ink.txt file into your plugin. Possible to share code for it. Hey all.
I'm new to this PVR-lark, well, 2 days new to be precise.

I've built myself a AMD Sempron 2200 / 256mb / 250gig system with a Hauppage PVR-350.

Is it just me, or is the output via scart to a tele rather pants? I've got the latest drivers on there - and I fiddled in Config and it made no difference.

Is it generally expected to be a bit blurry and saturated colours?

I've tried the search, and there wasn't anything in particular to this it threw up.

The TV isn't the greatest in the world (28in Wide Phillips jobby) but I can't blame that really, as my Xbox, cable, VCR, and DVD are all crystal clear! No S-Video in though

Is it just the TV-out being poor quality?

And maybe slightly cheeky asking on here - but do other PVR-solutions suffer the same problem? (MythTV, M$ MCE 2k5, etc). I thought this card was supposed to be the dogs....

What quality do you record at?

How much time can you fit on an authored dvd at that quality?

Just curious to hear what people here do, and how it works out for them.

I am new to GBPVR.  I recently bought a Hauppauge 150 and installed it.  I have WinTV 2000 working properly.  IR receiver and blaster are working.  I also have a 200 IR blaster for GBPVR which works properly.
But I am having a few problems with GBPVR.
1) When viewing with GBPVR, the windows box stays visible, as does the windows taskbar at the bottom of the screen.  I see the extra stuff at the top of the image that should go away with overscan.
2) When watching live TV, I get a lot of audio skipping, and even, what I would call gobacks, where the audio and video skip back in time repeating what was just said and shown.  Amazingly, the video and audio remain in sync!
3) When watching an already stored video, if I press FF or RW I can't get the video to go back into play mode.  If I do it on the screen, all that shows up in the display is a pause button!
(From searching the posts, this may be a known defect and I should use skipping feature, but I thought I would mention the fact that the pause shows up on the screen).
Any help would be appreciated.

PIII 866 (yes, its not that modern, but its dedicated to PVR. and works fine with Hauppauge software as mentioned)

40 GB HD 7200 ATA 100
160 GB HD 7200 ATA 100
Hauppauge 150 for capture
ATI AIW Pro 8 MB PCI for video output to TV (not for capture)
IL 200 blaster

I just downloaded gb-pvr the other day so I assume I have the latest version, but when I go to http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/Login.aspx and login, I get:
