  Wiki is down
Posted by: blader_se - 2005-01-17, 04:43 PM - Forum: Forum Issues & Documentation - Replies (1)

Unfortunatly the wiki site just went crazy, and I don't seem to have rights to write files at my webhost.

Update! The reason was a full disc, you may read the wiki, but it will take some more time before you can start editing it again...

I've requested a backup to be restored, so we just have to wait.

Sorry for the inconvienience.

  Widening table within TVGuide
Posted by: tmk - 2005-01-17, 04:10 PM - Forum: Developers - No Replies

Is there a way to widen the table holding the data for the TVGuide? I tried to make better use of the "real estate" of my screen by moving the table somewhat to the left and enlargen the table. However, the only thing I was able to do was to move the table to the left.

regards,
tmk

  Plugins: My Pictures vs. Pictures
Posted by: Dustin Mustangs - 2005-01-17, 03:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I originally wanted to have an interface that looks like this for going through my pictures:

(this was taken from http://www.bladerhq.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.ph...MyPictures )

But all I can get is something that looks like this:

(taken from http://www.gbpvr.com/plugins.html )

I downloaded a number of plugins from http://www.gbpvr.com/plugins.html including the one entitled "pictures plugin".  I installed it and it works as shown in the second picture above.  I was under the assumption that this and the "my pictures plugin" where the same, but I am not so sure anymore.  My problem is that I can't get it to look like the first image, only the second one (colored buttons have no effect on my MVP while in this plugin).

So here are my questions:

1 - Are these two plugin's the same?

2 - If they are, why can't I get any on the colored buttons on my remote to work (ie. change view mode, sort mode, ect.)?

3 - If they aren't, how do I unistall the one I don't want (do I need to?) and install the one I want?  I tried to download the My Pictures zip file (the one I wannt if there are indeed two) and unzip it to the gbpvr folder, but nothing changed at the plugins config.  I guess that this is my main reason for still feeling these might be the same plugins.

Any help would be appreciated.

  FM radio (PVR150MCE) problem
Posted by: paul_austen - 2005-01-17, 01:24 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (4)

I have GBPVR installed in a PC with a PVR 150MCE. The FM radio works OK when GB-PVR is running on the PC. When I attempt to run the FM radio from a Media MVP unit it fails to play. The Media MVP does appear to attempt to play something but it comes through in very short bursts every 2 seconds or so.
I'm using the the latest (GBPVR02313.msi) version of GB-PVR. I've installed http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/directsho..._dshow.zip.

  Aspect ratio
Posted by: dazz - 2005-01-17, 09:00 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I watch usually on an LCD monitor with 16:10 aspect ratio. For some avi files in order to view the movie with the correct aspect ratio I would need horizontal black bars, for others vertical. As it is I have very little control over the black bars (the monitor can be set to full screen (no black bars) or 4:3 (vertical black bars)).  I'd rank number one as the most needed feature in GBPVR the ability to adjust the aspect ratio. I'd love to be able to have GBPVR send the picture squished with e.g. horzontal black bars top and bottom!  [Image: smile.gif]

  Resume not working
Posted by: dazz - 2005-01-17, 08:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

On a show that I had previously seen some of, the resume feature started to come up but before the "resume or start over" screen appeared, GBPVR froze up. I had to end it via Task Manager. I tried several more times, but same thing. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but this was on a show that was converted from .dvr-ms to .mpg with PowerDirector. Has anyone else seen the resume cause GBPVR to freeze up?

screen saver / black screen for music
Posted by: reefboy - 2005-01-17, 06:37 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

Once again, I must give my applause/thanks  to Sub for a great application. I have only used GBPVR s for a month and a half and am thoroughly Enjoying it! My thanks to  Reven as well for his great "My" series and implementing my random photo request in less than a day! I use that quite often. However my wife said the WAF is going down since I'm always playing / tweaking with GBPVR.

So here is my question. I have been using Jukebox  here and there along with My Music and would prefer to just leave the TV on so that I can glance over and see what Song / Album is playing however I am worried about burn in and usually turn the TV off.   This is where Sub, Reven, and other coders come in. Is there a way that would eliminate / slow down the burn in process?

I was thinking of the following ideas to help ...
 1) -a black background on My Music or Jukebox (guess I could do that easily by changing the background image)
2)-a feature which would cause the entire screen to go black except 10 seconds before / after the change of a song (during Jukebox mode or My Music)
3)- changing the location of the text message with the majority of the screen still black. Just show the album art, title, artist, etc and shift it around the screen so that it is not always in one spot / combined with 2nd idea?

BTW... I didn't see who wrote the Jukebox app on the Wiki. Is that you Sub? I didn't think I would be using it however it is great and I love the random feature.

  Tivo Skin
Posted by: darrin75 - 2005-01-17, 03:49 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (2)

I am considering making a skin look/like Tivo. Of course the gbpvr will replace any Tivo logos etc. Don't want to start problems. Before i start i need to know if people want this. If not, i can concentre on plugin development. Let me know?
