Bug/Problem w/2 Capture Source on same card.
Posted by: Pioneer4x4 - 2005-01-16, 07:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have my GB-PVR setup the way I was hoping.
I have a PVR-150 and I have my cable going to it and a cable box. The cable box is connected to the 150 via A/V cables. I have 2 entries in the Capture source,
1) 150's internal tuner for channels 1-99
2) 150's Composite Input from external tuner (via Girder) for channels 100-

Everything works fine tuning, scheduling....

The issue I just noticed, is I am scheduling a ton of stuff now, and I'm not getting conflicts when I should. I have narrowed it down to the fact that I can schedule a show on each capture source at the same time, even though they are the same card. Is there a way around this? Can I join them?

  Plug-In : Music Albums (MAP)
Posted by: Senior47 - 2005-01-16, 06:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi!

My mp3 directory is build like this:

ArtistA    (Folder 1)
 - Album1 ( subfolder 1 )
 - Album2 ( subfolder 2 )
 - Album1.m3u
 - Album2.m3u
ArtistB  ( Folder 2 )
 - Album1 ( subfolder 1 )
 - Album2 ( subfolder 2 )
 - Album1.m3u
 - Album2.m3u

and so on. I can't use this plugin as now because it can't do recursive searches - it just give me a blank list (no m3u) og a list of artists (treat directories as albums). The only way to get it working is adding all artists one by one.. to much work i think [Image: wink.gif]
I set the the path to Album1 and it works like it should that way - exept one big thing: NO SOUND.
"No playing" shows the title, but no sound. Any suggestions?

  Error with timeshift
Posted by: surveyor - 2005-01-16, 01:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hi,
I'm a little bit confused with the timeshiftfunction.

My EPG works great. So I can see TV with timeshifting for the whole time GB-PVR get from the EPG. But if I pause I have a problem at the end of the actual program because GB-PVR does not show the rest of the program. There is an errormessage that it can't show the actual file. After that I'm at the mainmenu. When I go back to TV I see the (now) actual program not from the beginning.

And so, with timeshifting, I can't see the last minutest of a program and even the first minutes of the following program.

I'm using GB-PVR 0.2313 and a Hauppauge PVR 350.

  Adaptec Videoh! Media Center USB
Posted by: proddick - 2005-01-16, 01:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi

I'm trying to get GBPVR working with my USB Adaptec Videoh! Media Center. When I run the tuning wizard I get the message "connect pins failed" - "crossbaraudiodecoderout to captureanalogueaudioin".

After this the tuner finds channels and the video works but (not suprisingly) I don't get any audio.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Paul

  direct remote access crashes GBPVR
Posted by: nick314159 - 2005-01-16, 01:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hello,

I've been using the silver remote to control GBPVR with IR.EXE running. I would like to be able to control the program when its window isn't selected

I closed IR.EXE and enabled direct access in the config window. When I went to start GBPVR, nothing happened. The process appears in task manager, and it looks like it's using the same amount of memory. I terminated the process and ran IR.EXE, and it loaded just fine. (I'm guessing this is because direct access is automatically disabled when IR.EXE is running)

I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or if anybody has some tips. Is there any way to find out if required DLL's, etc. are missing?

- Nick

  Games
Posted by: oakleeman - 2005-01-16, 06:27 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

I know MVP users wouldn't be able to utilize this feature, but I'd like to see a "My Games" that wraps around emulators for NES, SNES, etc. I've figured out how to launch the individual games manually by adding the emulator .exe as a plugin with the game filepath as an argument...but this is a severe pain in the arse when you have alot of games.

That's one of the few things I did like about MediaPortal, the fact that it supported M.A.M.E......but I didn't give it enough time to learn how to use it fully.

Anybody have any ideas on how to tackle something like this?

Parental Lock Directories in Video Library
Posted by: jrmosier - 2005-01-16, 05:59 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (8)

Suggestion: Place a parental lock code on the 'Misc' tab of Config.exe

Suggestion: When configuring from the 'Directories' tab, have a togle to enable parental lock so that playing video from that directory via 'Video Library' would require the lock code to be entered.

Suggestion: When scheduling the recordings, 'turn on' parental lock, that would require a code to view later from the Recordings playback.

Error Message: Object reference not set
Posted by: jrmosier - 2005-01-16, 05:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I finally figured out how to duplicate this error.  If jukebox or Netradio are playing in the background while navigating the guide ro searching the guide and the skip or replay buttons are used, then this message is presented and you are returned to the home page.

  GB-PVR + PVR-150MCE + PVR-250 + MVP
Posted by: jrmosier - 2005-01-16, 04:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I know there are a lot of messages in here about these three products, but there is such a varied combination of setups I wanted to make this message specifically about the above combination.

Anyway, in my setup WinTV plays with either card enabled in the device manager.  BeyondTV can use both cards and make two recordings.  For the life of me I can only get GBPVR and MVP to play nice if I have only one card enabled.  I bought the second PVR based on comments here and thought it would be simple.  I am well over 20 hours of reload, rebuild, config change time, and I am at exactly the same point as before the PVR-150MCE purchase.

The only changes I made to GBPVR is in the config.xml.  I set the MVP setting to 620/420 to fit my TV better.
