  Random Partial Recordings
Posted by: shfaxx - 2005-01-15, 12:22 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Sub, or anyone for that matter...  Every so ofen I'm getting recordings that are just a few minutes long.  Here is the section of the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log that shows the recording start up and then stop with an error: Found expired lease. Stopping recording.  I attached all the original logs.

  pci video card
Posted by: rock soup - 2005-01-15, 12:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

I am looking to pick up a video card this weekend, and it has got to be pci as I have no AGP or pci-x. I am looking to do it for least $ possible, but not buy a crappy one either. I would really like to spend under $70, and get 64 or 128mb. I have never dealt with video cards before, but have installed other add-ons via pci. my computer is a p3 833 with 256 pc100 ram. I am going to buy this to boost the system to make it usable with my new pvr card (pvr-150) is this a good deal: http://www.compusa.com/adproducts/p...&pfp=ADPRODUCTS
?
thanks

is this a good card to use with gbpvr?
thanks

Does the PVR-150's IR blaster work with GB?
Posted by: tricks - 2005-01-14, 10:45 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

I read in some other post that the PVR - 150 does not come with an IR blaster.

However it DOES come with an IR blaster and also a receiver. Has anyone being able to use that blaster?

Thanks

I just wondered if this Tv card was supported by GB-PVR.
The chip inside it is Conextant Fusion 878a if that helps.
If it does work which options should i select.

  Dual PVR500 not working
Posted by: j.koolen - 2005-01-14, 02:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have just installed a second PVR500MCE in my media server. When I start LiveTV in GBPVR the recording service crashes with teh following message:

program gbpvrrecordingservice, file dbgdel.cpp line 52
expression: _BLOCK_TYPE_ISVALID(pHead->nBlockUse)

One single adapter (either one) is working fine and I am using the latest drivers from SHSPVR. The problem can only be solved by disableing one of the cards (either one) in the device manager. Just removing them in GBPVR doesn't do the trick.

Could it have something to do with the way GBPVR accesses multiple adapters (numbering)? I have included the log-file of my setup.

  Plugin get's screenshot
Posted by: teris - 2005-01-14, 02:05 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm programming a plugin that controls additional features for setup-boxes. This should recognize the status of the external tuner and control this.

For this, I need screenshots of the live-tv. Is it possible to implement a function that gives a frame from the live-tv-screen every 5 seconds ?

Otherwise I have to extract frames from the life-tv-buffer-file. But this is very slow.

Basicly, gbpvr should write an image file with a frame of the live-tv-buffer every 5 seconds.

Is this possible ?

Bye,
Sebastian

  picture capture clarity
Posted by: sjbirk - 2005-01-14, 12:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (21)

wondering how everyone's picture quality of the tv capture during live tv is. i am currently using a hauppauge 150 at a resolution of 1600x1200. at full screen, my picture quality is a bit fuzzy close up. has anyone gotten a crystal clear picture? if so, how?

the only modifications i've done were pushing sharpness up to 7 in graph edit.

thanks.

  selective comskip
Posted by: lif - 2005-01-14, 12:25 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

It would be extremely nice if GBPVR supports has the same option as MythTV has. When setting up channels in config it has a checkbox if this channel needs comskip or not. Forexample here in Estonia (and in Finland) we have national channels which don't have any commercials running, so it will be completely unnecessary to run comskip on certain channels, although postprocessing.bat should be run.

  Play Audio CD
Posted by: MaBo - 2005-01-14, 10:24 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

The subject says it all.
I could not find an easy way to play an audio CD with GBPVR. My Music can rip the cd first, but I don't want that.

Any-one has an idea? Of course this will be something that cannot be used on the mvp, but that is not a huge issue, as the cd-tray is not in the mvp either, is it? [Image: wink.gif]

Greetz,
MaBo
