I have a computer dedicated to Nextpvr and rarely touch it except for the occasional reboot. For some reason the application has ground to a halt and even after a reboot I launch the program but once I try to select anything from the menu I get a spinning mouse cursor. Windows 7 still working fine. I've looked in to the event logs, task manager, and nothing is helping. I have not installed or uninstalled anything for many months. Problem started sometime last week. There is plenty of storage available on the local system and remote computer I have for the recordings.

What can I do to likely fix this problem?

I can't get logs because as soon as I try to do anything it locks on me.

Good day...I am using NPVR as is without Kodi or any other app. NPVR sits in a W10 box and during live TV viewing I am getting some buffering, not much but some. There are no issues with recording at this time , just live TV viewing. Is there a way to increase the buffer size to see if that will accommodate the issue? I have attached the logs for your review. I’m seeking some assistance in getting NextPVR for Android running. It tries to connect but then nothing. Sometimes I don’t receive an error message and other times it says it can’t connect and check to make sure NextPVR is running.

NextPVR, version 4.2.4, is running on a static IP laptop. My tablet is running Lineage OS 16.0 (Pie)

These are the things I have done (after reading some posts here):
1. Restarted NextPVR service
2. Turned off firewall & anti-virus on the server side
3. Reinstalled NextPVR
4. Reinstalled Android client
5. Deleted the server that the client found and manually created it (The first time I started the app it displayed the correct server.)

So I’m not sure what to do next. Are there any settings I need to check on with the server to make sure the client can connect? I would appreciate any help since I really want to have this client running on my tablet. Thanks.

I have a Himedia Q10 Pro Android box. I downloaded the paid version of NextPVR. My IPTV Services is MyWifiTV. I chose them because they have local channels.

I watched set up videos, etc, and tried setting up the app. Have all the xml and m3u links from my provider. At first it wanted my server which would be my service. At the moment when I click on the app it says, “select a server from the list” but all that happens is the wheel just spins. I went to “add server” but it says the address I give is invalid although it works flawlessly on IPTV Extreme Pro and Smarters Pro. I installed and reinstalled the app several times, cleared data and cache.

When I add server the faint area that shows an IP address, but I enter my service link. Below it is a 4 digit line which I assume is 8866, 8888, or 4444.

Any help with set up would be appreciated.

I have a series record with 4 episodes now recorded that would play on the PC but not on NMT. Had me puzzled and took me a while to figure out the problem but it's characters in the programme name.
An example filename was 'British.Made,.with.John.Prescott.S01E01.Lea.&.Perrins;.Soreen.ts'. (Even this forum doesn't like it - the space in Perrins only appears when I preview/post this!) I finally figured out that it was either the comma or the semi-colon as when I removed both of them from the filenames and DB entries they all play fine.
Not a huge issue, and as I say it only failed on NMT not directly on PC.

Is anyone here recording to a NAS drive? How does it work?

I bought a TV tuner and trying to set it up. Every time I scan for channels, it continuously says "Starting Device" endlessly. I did have an issue where it gave me a failed to start device but found similar issues on the forum and used the unmanaged file that was uploaded and that fixed the failed to start device issue but now I have the issue where it just says starting device and it goes no further than that. Log file has been attatched.

I'm struggling to see what's going wrong with this manual recording:

All looks OK there. (I've been having EPG trouble with this particular channel on DVB-S but this is a very simple, predictable schedule so I thought I'd do a manual recording.)

But there's no sign of a recorded file, no sign in the NPVR logs of it even attempting the recording, and no sign of any failure in the list of completed (or failed) recordings.

This had happened yesterday so I deleted and recreated the manual recording and it happened again today - or rather didn't happen, no trace of it even attempting this recording!

Any ideas what I've done wrong?

Hi guys i love nextpvr but i have a smal problem (sorry if my english is not so good )

i setup my iptv device with url from my provider everything works well even the epg works
but my cpu goes 100% when watching a channel i have read the post about the nshared.dll
and replaced it then i start evrything back up then when i want to wach a channel i get the error
unable to connect to recording device

someone a solution for this
