An extra confirm on exit of GBPVR would come in handy.. sometimes im just to quick with the hauppauge remote and before you know I hit ok when its on exit instead of the video library .. because i use the output of the pvr-350 i have to switch over to pc output .. get the keyboard and restart GBPVR
I have just built up a my box with Windows 2004 MCE. Â My box is as follows:
CPU - P3 933 MHz
Memory - 1 GB Kensington
Video - PNY GeForce FX 5200 AGP - 128 MB
Media/Tuner Card - HP PVR-250
My question is has anyone gotten a config similar to this going on a Win XP MCE or Win 04 MCE build?
I have gotten Win04 MCE to function properly with "Media Center" and "WinTV 2000", but really like the idea of using the MediaMVP as a frontend client, without having to convert the captures. Â This software seems to be the top canidate.
I have gotten the config util to set-up my PVR device, and the guide, but everytime I try to save the settings, by clicking "OK", I get the following error.
I have looked for the service, but see nothing that makes sense, like "GBRRecording". Â I have tried the following to see if it will help, but still have the same problem.
[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Can you try changing into the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr (or your equiv)
directory from command prompt and run the following.
When I Â view error the details, this is what I get...

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
  <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.[/QUOTE]
I can use any suggestion and email the error log too.
What settings do you recommend for encoding and the like, that will minimize the possibilities?
I'm currently using WinTvCapStart  just because my HTPC is used as a recording only device. The LCD displays useful information about the currently recorded program, the next scheduled program, free disc space and so on.
The LCD always keeps me informed about the status of the PC without having to turn on the PC or using a monitor. It's quite easy to program such a 20 x 4 characters LCD.
But I'm thinking about to switch to GB-PVR because of it's support for the MediaMVP. The only thing that I miss in GB-PVR is the LCD support.
first of all this is my first post here and I wanted to say that this is an excellent piece of software. Been using it for about a week now, congrats!
now about some of the testing of 0.13 today:
- there is a bug in Girder channel changer configuration. When I try to set "use three digit..." flag it gets dropped as soon as I close configuration utility. I can see that the flag is not set by simply going back to config. And as a consequence there is no padding I tried to set the flag directly in MDB file, but it didn't help either
- TV guide shown on TV via Media MVP is almost impossible to read. The font is too small and not sharp. Anything I'm doing wrong or is this a known issue?
- Live TV over Media MVP works intermittently. It looks like it depends on the availability of the buffer on the server. Basically if I go to program guide and select something to watch, there is a pause and then it goes back to the menu. But if i wait a little bit and click Live TV, then I can watch the program. Is this a known issue?
I was trying different decoders and I selected the Cyberlink decoder, but live TV is using the Nvidia decoder. The NVDVD icon appears in the system tray and the NVDVD control panel color controls affect the live TV window.
since today I'm using gbpvr with the hauppauge mvp.
The thimeshifting-function is very cool.
Mostly I pause Live-TV at the beginning for a while for skipping the commercials.
But when I pause the live-TV, I can only play from the pause-position. It would be great, if I could fast forward in the cache like in the WinTV-Application.
I installed version 0.13 but now the output of the PVR 350 is either flickering really bad or it is corrupted with diagonal white lines (like the buffer is not written correctly?)
The menu is displayed correctly however live tv is corrupted .. previously recordings play fine too
Anybody any ideas ?
