I am a new user of GB-PVR and I have a major problem with the tv viewing and recording. I use WinXP, PVR350 and the WinTV2000 and can watch and record tv through that application. I load tv schedules in the GB-PVR with o2grabber and it works fine (can view schedule). I've selected the PVR 350 and Sweden (where I live) in the Direct Recording Plugin. However when I try to watch though GB-PVR it seem that the application selects the wrong tuning frequencies. Can you override this? I know there are several topics on OSD but I am not sure they concern my problem.  

Please advise!

When watching live tv it would be nice to able to push a button that puts it into record mode instantly, then if you come out of live tv or push the button again it stops recording and adds the recording to the recordings folder.

The record button could be a good button for this.

The reason for this is when I am watching tv sometimes I only want to capture say a replay of a goal or try.  But the time you have set a manual recording the moment has passed.

The file could be named using the channel name and progam name.

Thanks once again, its nice to see GBPVR taking shape. Only wish I could do something to help.

In the WeatherPlugin source, by sub, haven't checked codemonkey's, there's a memory leak that in my ShutDown Plugin became a HUGE memory leak.

The problem is that in the render method we have:
foregroundImage = new Bitmap(720, 480);

Aperantley you must dispose of Image objects (in the right order too) or they will just add to the memmory...

As the menu is loopable (when presing down on last entry, it goes to first) in my plugin, when holding down the down key, it grew as ####....

I resolved this by adding:
   foregroundImage.Dispose();
   g.Dispose();

This should be done just before returning the compositeScreenImage.

Was listening to one station, switched to another.  It started playing.  Wasn't paying attention because I was on the phone, but at some point (< 5 minutes) it switched back to the first station by itself. The display still showed the second station.  Then after about maybe 30 minutes total it stopped playing abruptly.  Attempting to reconnect to any station gave the 'unable to connect' error.  Wouldn't reconnect until I exited out of gb-pvr and restarted.  Then after restarting it would reconnect but stopped after a few minutes.  The entire system is crawling now so I need to reboot

Might be related to not releasing the stream, resourse leak etc. but just thought I'd mention it.

After the reboot now ... too weird, started gb-pvr and selected 1 station.  It stayed highlighted but Hmmmm ... listening closer, it is playing a exact repeat of what was playing earlier on the other station. Something apparently got pretty hosed.  What can I reset sub? It apparently is playing old stream data.

I'm writing a Picture viewer plugin (to replicate the original MVP's functionality within GB-PVR), but I've failed to master the "Back" button on the MVP's remote.

Does .NET have access to the following keys:
"Back/Exit", "Go", "Red", "Mute", "Full", "Rwnd", "Ffwd", "Rec"

If so, can IMenuTask be handed events to respond to those keys?

Check out the included image.  The station and genre fields are missing the first letter.  Could be coming in wrong from the source but I have no way of checking.

All things being considered it's going remarkable well (compared to my attempts to get mythTV working under Fedora anyway!!!. My gbpvr runs through the pvr350 with sound and plays/records "live TV" from my video camera on the svideo input of the pvr350. XMLTV source for channels importing nicely, netradio and stored video and mp3 all mighty fine - many, many thanks for an excellent package .

OK.. second sky STB arriving on Friday so that will be the real crunch but in the meantime my redrat3 has arrived today so the $64,000 question is girder or redrat's command line exe rr_cli? Anyone got any experience using the redrat3 and gbpvr or any other pvr?

Second part of question do you have to teach the redrat3 to control say a PACE digibox or are there databases of presets?

When I connect my tv to the tv out (on PVR 350) the OSD works, but when I try to watch tv (or a recording) either the OSD remains on the tv (on VGA it turns black with the 'tv out' msg) or the screen of tv turns black.

TV-out on WinTV2000 works.

Any suggestions?
