It would be very nice to have the currently playing song always shown in the gbpvr window (both music library menu and main menu, possibly other menus as well). Time elapsed and remaining would be nice too...

I have found two problems to do with cancelling recordings, both are repeatable on my machine.

1) Cancelling a recording in the TV guide

If you have a show that is scheduled to record:
Find it in the TVguide.
Press OK to bring up the pop up menu
Select Cancel

I get a message box saying:

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

and the recording is not cancelled.

Note that it is possible to cancel the recording on the recordings screen.


2) Cancelling a Season Record on the Recordings screen

If I cancel a Season Record on the Recordings screen, all of my scheduled recordings of anything are removed.

I just came across GB-PVR and have to say I'm mightily impressed! Is the ability to manually record a program in the wings? We can't always get EPG data in OZ, so the ability to set the channel, start time and finish time is something invaluable.

Maybe there is already a way but I am after a quick way to jump to parts of directory listings in the music/video directories.

At current if I am creating a queue of files to be played, it takes about 2 miniutes to scroll from top to bottom as I have quite a few. So if I want to queue a 'Zak Wilde' song then a 'U-God' song for instance this would take 4 miniutes especially as it jumps back to the begining of the listing again each time you go up a directory.

Sub I know you have allot to do , but please can this be added to the list, please, go on you know you want to .....

Great program … even compared to myHTPC.

I would really appreciate the possibility to be apple to control the size and position of GBPVR all included so I can place it on my extended desktop corresponding to my graphic cards tvout … same opportunity as is in myHTPC.

Is this possible to implement?

I've just uploaded an updated v0.15 release that primarily fixes the datetime problem UK users are currently experiencing. You can download it from http://www.gbpvr.com/Setup015e.exe

- Had another go at fixing the datetime...sorry. Virtually impossible for me to test all possible combinations in my environment. You can also now enter an offset to add to show times as they are imported, hopefully it wont be needed but it there in case.
- Moving the mouse while watching a video will show buttons for rw/pause/ff/skip etc. These were the same buttons from earlier releases, but were hidden because they didn't make sense of MVP/PVR350/XCard users.
- Now gracefully handling FFDSHOW enabled but not installed.
- Now able to configure which buttons to hide on the main menu.
- Fixed some logic that may have been causing problems with the WinTVCap plugin.
- An config option for auto creating directories for recordings. When enabled, for example, all episodes of the simpsons will be recorded in a "Simpsons" directory off the recordings directory. (FYI, file names including the directory path are decided at the time recordings are scheduled, so later changing the recordings directory will not be reflected in recordings already scheduled. Its been like this since the beginning, and only one user has pointed it out. I will change this in future.)
- Added option to weather plugin to show temperature in celcius
- Fixed a bug with playback of music with Overlay renderer (VMR was already OK). If playing multiple tracks, skip start new song playing but also leave old song playing.

Is there any real hardware difference between the 250 mce and the plain 250?

I am new to the GB-PVR software, having only aquired my Hauppauge MediaMPV a couple of days ago. I am already seriously impressed with the GB-PVR software, it providing so much more vision and function that the standard Hauppauge software. Great work.

My key driver for getting the MediaMVP was to be able to rip my DVD's to hard-disk and play on my TV. I have been using the excellent "DVD Decryptor" software to rip my DVD's to hard-disk - creating full images. Because the MPV does not allow the playing or navigation of the IFO/VOB files that make up the image of the DVD - I am having to RIP these VOB's to MPEGs using a DVD to VCD/SVCD software package - which takes a lot of time and generally degrades the images and sound.

My dream would be so navigate the image of the DVD's directly and play directly from the ripped VOB files. My basic understanding of the structure of a VOB file is that it is a MPEG2 file with a multiplexed AC3 encoded audio stream (plus some other stuff).

Given there are a number of software DVD players for Windows on the market, would it not be possible to do something similar with the GB-PVR software and allow native navigation and playing of a set of ripped DVD images. This would seem to be the perfect solution for a large DVD collector such as myself. I understand that the MediaMPV cannot natively decode an AC3 audio stream, but there must be a way to transform this AC3 stream to a MP3 stream on-the-fly, even if it does take up a few extra cycles on the PC!

Is this something that is possible, prehaps a challenge worth pursuing? Is this a valid "wish list"  and does anyone else feel the same way. Prehaps someone else has suggested it before!

I cannot get it to work, I have put in my area code (confirmed it has added it to config.xml) and when I try to access the weather page I get an error saying missing URI, could anyone please point me in the right direction ?
