Any idea why I am getting this error message when switching to Live TV? (Sub: BTW, my previous problems with not getting version 14 to work seem to be fixed with version 15c).

Sorry another newbie question, before buying a pvr350 i tried to do a bit of research and found a couple of forums that suggested that you can't use this card with a digital stb.

is this true?

and if not, what are my options?

I think this is one of the coolest and most useful pieces of software I've seen in a long time. I'd love to see more PVR cards supported.
I have the Adaptec DVD Media Center PCI card and the quality is just incredible. GB_PVR worked "right out of the box" with my MVP.
I couldn't believe the internet radio worked like a charm. Keep up the good work. I have a suggestion for donations, use paypal.

I just found out about GB-PVR this morning and thought I would drop a line a express my appreciatiation towards Graeme Blackley for providing us with a great PVR product that certainly has the potential to be a leader in the field. I happened upon this website's link after "gplasky" submitted it to my website's link section. I read a little about GB-PVR and ended up downloading it. Now as we all know, with PVR software, this is usually where the real battle begins. I was pleasently surprised that the install went smoothly and within a 1/2 hour i was watching TV. when I setup GotTV it took more like A 1/2 month!

But anyways, I am certainly gong to be tinkering with GB-PVR more over the next couple weeks and look forward to watching this program and its' support community grow.

I've been having some major problems with the schedule displaying shows at the wrong time with version .15. I had no problems with this in .12a or .13, and didn't even have problems with it in .14 until the "one-hour bug" that it appears everybody got at the same time.

All the shows in the episode guide are now appearing five hours earlier than they should. (ex. A program that airs at 8:00 pm shows at 3:00 pm on the schedule.)

Further adding to the confusion is that prime-time shows on the local channels (between hours of 8-11) appear on the episode guide twice: five hours early AND at their normal time, which causes for a very strange display when GBPVR sees two shows that appear to be airing at the same time.

I never had to strip the "-500" (I live in Eastern Time Zone, North America) from the xmltv output before version .15, but I went ahead and tried it anyway. This fixed the problem with the primetime shows appearing twice, however all the shows are STILL appearing five hours too early on the schedule.

I am able to stream MP3 from my MP3 server to the mvp by
enabling internet connection sharing on win2k pc 2. This allows the mvp to get a IP address and allows mp3s to be played from the xp machine.

I cannot get the mvp to recognise the GB-PVR server running on win2k pc 1. The ICS option gives me the mvp on 192.168.0.x and I have enabled IP routing on the win2k 2 pc allowing the mvp to access the wireless network (192.168.1.x).

It seems that I have to have all 3 machines on the same subnet to allow mvp and GB-pvr to work. Any Ideas ?

It would help if you guys could post your topologies and networks setups.

i've just found a little prob, i am running version .15c and i have an MVP. When i run the new_blue skin i cannot start the mvp server mode, took me ages to work out what it was, but the program will not run in this config,

everytime i configure it and quit the config program its gone when i start it again. everything else i changed is saved.

- Fixed a problem with Season recordings. Previously certain characters in the program name could stop the recordings being scheduled.
- Fixed a problem with back-to-back recordings which could cause subsequent recording to not take place.
- Added support for using FFDShow for post-processing. To use this, you must download and install a *recent* version of the FFDSHOW filters (http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_...fdshow.cfm). FFDSHOW should work with any MPEG2 decoder, as long as the decoder doesnt use DXVA.
- Corrected a problem with handling of dates. If no timezone abbreviation was explicity stated, I was assuming GMT then subtracting the offset (-0500). After reviewing the XMLTV dtd, I found that this was actually supposed to default to UTC (not GMT).
