  thumbnail icons for movies ??
Posted by: chuckyt - 2004-02-24, 08:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I was wondering how to create icons for my movies.
I have my videos folder set with the 'videos' template & have it in thumbnail view
I have chosen 'refresh thumbnail' - but I still get just the windows video logo.

I would be also good to have a frame other than that of the first field of video as it's thumbnail, if there is a way to do that..

BTW - the net radio implimentation is excellent - anyway of manually adding entries, or creating favorites ?

On the EPG side - when you select a program to record, the EPG will then default back to time of day - this is frustrating when programing days ahead as you have to scroll through the time from today to when you want your next program to be added.

thanks

Chuck

GBPVR errors with PVR350 TV out
Posted by: chuckyt - 2004-02-24, 07:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi Sub,
My previous serious crashes were a faulting PVR350 card.
I now have a new card with 1.6A drivers installed ( the 1.6A drivers are modded drivers specifically for australia according to the distributor here )

The EPG is working fine with TV harvest ( no 1 hour offset anymore )
I am also getting video playout with OSD on the TV with some issues.

I installed 0.13 yesterday & main OSD comes up fine ( with the appropriate message on the PC's screen )
live TV is working using your recording code ( not wincap TV )
changing channels is working for a while, then is crashing ( bringup the SetGlobalApha-IKsPropertySet-SetIVAC-OSD-GlobalALPHA-failed message repeadely until the application is quit from process manager )
interestingly, you can reboot GBPVR a number of times before this crash hangs the driver to the point that you have to restart the machine.
This crash also occurs every time you resume a previously watched movie from the library

let me know if you have any suggestions

thanks

Chuck

  Multiple Tuners
Posted by: Guest - 2004-02-24, 03:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

If I had two PVR-250 tuners in GB-PVR, one setup for internal tuner and standard cable TV channels and the other setup for external composite input and satelite receiver channels. I have not tried this yet.

Will GB-PVR be able to handle this situation?

Do all the channels show up in the TV Guide?

If you select a satelite channel from the TV Guide does it know to go to the tuner that is connected to the satelite receiver?

If you add a third tuner, setup for internal tuner and standard cable, will those two tuners be in a pool and the one for the satelite receiver remain separate?

Thanks,
Bryan

  Skip button on MediaMVP
Posted by: FoxMan71 - 2004-02-24, 02:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Sub,

Everything is working great on the new release except for the skip button. The skip button starts to work for a few times and then it stops working. Do you have any ideas?

Posted by: dutchal - 2004-02-23, 09:17 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

An extra confirm on exit of GBPVR would come in handy.. sometimes im just to quick with the hauppauge remote and before you know I hit ok when its on exit instead of the video library [Image: sad.gif] .. because i use the output of the pvr-350 i have to switch over to pc output .. get the keyboard and restart GBPVR [Image: sad.gif]

  Full Screen Toggle
Posted by: box2k2 - 2004-02-23, 04:35 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I really make use of the WinTV ability to switch between TV mode and Fullscreen.

Love GBPVR to bits but find WinTV easier for everyday use. An easily accessible ful screen toggle would probably tip the balance.

Great work still!

  Windows 2004 MCE
Posted by: jacobthe4th - 2004-02-23, 04:00 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hello All,

I have just built up a my box with Windows 2004 MCE.  My box is as follows:

CPU - P3 933 MHz
Memory - 1 GB Kensington
Video - PNY GeForce FX 5200 AGP - 128 MB
Media/Tuner Card - HP PVR-250

My question is has anyone gotten a config similar to this going on a Win XP MCE or Win 04 MCE build?

I have gotten Win04 MCE to function properly with "Media Center" and "WinTV 2000", but really like the idea of using the MediaMVP as a frontend client, without having to convert the captures.  This software seems to be the top canidate.

I have gotten the config util to set-up my PVR device, and the guide, but everytime I try to save the settings, by clicking "OK", I get the following error.

I have looked for the service, but see nothing that makes sense, like "GBRRecording".  I have tried the following to see if it will help, but still have the same problem.

[b Wrote:Quote[/b] ]Can you try changing into the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr (or your equiv)
directory from command prompt and run the following.

regsvr32 GBPVRWriter.ax
regsvr32 asyncflt.ax
regsvr32 ovtool.dll

When I  view error the details, this is what I get...
<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">
ee the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
   <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.[/QUOTE]

I can use any suggestion and email the error log too.

What settings do you recommend for encoding and the like, that will minimize the possibilities?

Thanks,

Jacob

Posted by: box2k2 - 2004-02-22, 07:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Anyone using a wintv pvr. not the 250 or 350 version?

Any good?

Could I run it alongside my current 350 and use it as a second tuner?

I really like this program...thanks for working on it.

Is there a keyboard shortcut list somewhere?  or a thread describing such?

Thanks!

  LCD (20 x 4 characters)
Posted by: kiskadee - 2004-02-22, 09:47 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Hi,

I'm currently using WinTvCapStart  [Image: cool.gif] just because my HTPC is used as a recording only device. The LCD displays useful information about the currently recorded program, the next scheduled program, free disc space and so on.

The LCD always keeps me informed about the status of the PC without having to turn on the PC or using a monitor. It's quite easy to program such a 20 x 4 characters LCD.

But I'm thinking about to switch to GB-PVR because of it's support for the MediaMVP. The only thing that I miss in GB-PVR is the LCD support.

So are there any plans for an LCD support?

Michael
