Hi.
Just purchased a Silicon Dust HomeRun Connect Duo. When I use the HDHomeRun windows app, I am able to view TV channels from the Connect Duo and it works good. I was also able to view the TV channels within KODI.
I just installed NEXTPVR and am trying to set it up so I can record TV Shows. From the Settings > Devices menu, I get a message "scanning DRI devices", but it looks like it is not finding any of the connect duo tuners.
I have four clients all running X-NEWA on Kodi 17.6 but on only one does the path substitution work and has done for perhaps 2 years on latest LibreElec after several updates. It doesn't work on the Amazon Fire stick but I think that is because is runs SMB1. The RPi3 and AMD E450 nettop both had a recent clean install of latest LibreElec but path substitution does not work or at least you cannot fully play in progress recordings. I even copied the advancedsettings.xml from the working setup. The work around I have been using is to play the file on the D drive on the server in Kodi from "Videos". Below is the contents of advancedsettings.xml in ~/.kodi/userdata
<advancedsettings>
<pathsubstitution>
<substitute>
<from>D:\</from>
<to>smb://NPVR-SERVER/d/</to>
</substitute>
</pathsubstitution>
</advancedsettings>
What is the best way to find out what is going on Martin as I remember when I first setup path substitution it was difficult to tell from the logs what was happening.
Hi,
I usually have two weeks' schedules direct data, but I suddenly don't seem to be able to get anything beyond this Friday. Is anyone else having a similar problem, esp. in the UK?
Thanks
Andrew
G'day..the NPVR server box is installed on "bar-room" machine with an IP of 192.168.10.38. NPVR is working like a champ on this machine as I can watch live TV or streams and record as well. The "act as client PC" is not checked. On my second machine I also installed NPVR and ticked the "act as client PC" so I could communicate with the NPVR server. The client is set with server name=
bar-room and database share=\\bar-room\users\public\NPVR. As a check for connectivity, on the client using Explorer and using \\bar-room\users\Public\NPVR I can get to the database. Also using \\bar-room\c\users\Public\NPVR gets me there as well.
Launching the client gets me this

However, clicking on TV Guide gets me this
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]
But when I try to watch something I get the ...please wait... screen forever. So I am at a loss Any suggestions? TIA Cheers!
I'm new at using IRSS but I think it has possibilities.
I'm trying to get IRSS working with the HD-PVR2 but I'm not so sure I installed IRSS or HD-PVR2 software correctly since I can't get the combo to work at changing channels.
Does anyone have some experience is using this combination? I would sure appreciate the help.
OK, I have a weird one for everyone to think about.
I had been watching an IPTV channel this evening. Every one n a while the video would freeze. I would have to back out and relaunch the channel.
I decided to record the channel. The channel also would freeze while recording it. I went back to play the video and it would stop recording at the same point where the video froze.
I have enclosed the logs as well. I will say the problem has been happening to me while watching tv on a NEXTPVR client on windows. The logs were too large from the server. If you think the logs from the server will help let me know and I will put them up on onedrive.
The issue happened around the 5:30 to 6:15 pm time frame.
Hi I have loaded this app onto my firestick and it is working great, just what I have been waiting for! My question is is it possible (yet) to delete recordings, from the app, after watching them. Have been trying from phone and Firestick, but not sure if is an option or just me not finding it.
