I have windows 10 all was fine now i see the black screen when i try to see any channel..
maybe the problem was appeared after i put the pcie card to plex to see live tv.. but i dont like it and remove it from there.. as i see i cant also view from nextpvr..
After the desktop I have had Nextpvr on for about two years lost the power supply for the second time, I decided to install Nextpvr on a different desktop. This one has win 10 on it. Well, after a couple of week of "fun" getting everything to work, my latest problem is when watching a recorded program and it gets to the spot where the commercial should be jumped past, it does so. But, I end up with a black screen and the sound still playing. This goes on for about 5 seconds and then the sound stops. I can get things working again by pressing the jump back(mine is set to 15 seconds)and the show continues. Any Ideas as to what is wrong?
Every other DVB-C app out there works, but NextPVR fails to find the channels. Sometimes, randomly, it finds 9-10 channels (out of 168), but most of the time it finds no channels at all. I am located in Romania and I know the frequencies where the channels are (300k-500k at 6900). Even though there is not preset for my country, I select the right frequency or even all frequencies, but it fails to find anything.
I am using an Astrometa DVB-T/T2/C tuner, on Windows 10 pro x64 with the latest NextPVR version (2.2).
NextPVR is exactly what I was looking for, I love the web client, and if you help me make it work I will donate $40.
While watching live TV using Kodi (LE 8.3.5, Kodi 17.6) using a Raspberry Pi 2, the video stream will freeze intermittently or at times when I change channels.
I performed channel changes as follows:
2:00 pm - WSVN
3:00 pm - CometTV
4:00 pm - WFOR
6:30 pm - NBC6
7:00 pm - WBFS (myTV)
The picture froze when changing the channel at 6:30pm
I'm including the logs from the nextPVR backend, the Kodi log from the Raspberry Pi2 and a couple of screenshots.
The 1st screenshot is the backend nextPVR status window. You'll notice that Comet TV appears to still be active but was shutdown at 4:00 pm. The 2nd screenshot shows the video tmp file directory. There you can see that Comet TV is still active although no Kodi box is watching it.
Once the screen freezes, I have to reboot the RPi to recover.
One other odd thing happens with the NextPVR addon. When I reboot the RPi, the addon does not connect to the backend although a valid IP address exists. I have to update the addon to get it to connect to the backend server.
I would appreciate any help you can offer that will help me track down the source of this freezing problem.
I've been having trouble getting certain recordings to play on my Samsung tablet. I tried a couple of times and the picture never shows. The program is not hung and I can restart playback with the same results. Not sure why.
But...apparently as a consequence of trying to play back, I discovered over 10GB of .ts files in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\web\temp folder! Each file, of the form 2018MTVVideoMusicAwards-00fc2f01ef374805b2ad3329994b82582.ts was about 640KB in size. Over 18,000 of them!
It seems that this is the output from ffmpeg doing the transcoding. Is there something that can be done to shut down transcoding or maybe deleting these temporary files in the event the client connection is broken?
Hello,
Can someone tell me what most needed programs are needed within windows to run NEXTPVR? Both for a server and for a client. I am sure there are programs and processes running within windows that are just not needed slowing down the machine.
Thank you,
Bruce
Hello,
How do I go about auto starting NEXTPVR when Windows starts. The recording service starts but I want the main program to start and start playing live video automatically.
Thank you,
Bruce
Hi all,
Suddenly had a strange thing started. Every 10 minutes the TV Guide appears onscreen; it started earlier this evening but I didn't start noting the times until after 21:30. It did it at 21:38 and 21:48 whilst I was watching a recording and again at 21:58 when on the main menu screen.
I hid the remote in case that was faulty and the bluetooth keyboard was off.
Logs attached which show a TVGuide.Initialise message at the relevant times but I don't really understand the logs.
Any help/advice gratefully received.
Thanks,
Stanno
I have an old cable box outputting an analog signal to my WinTV-HVR-1265 (so everything looks like it's on channel 4). I don't have an IR Blaster, so I must control my cable box manually.
I don't see a way to tell NextPVR to record a show on analog channel 4, at a time of my choice, and give it a name of my choice, independently of the TV Guide listings. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance.
