I used to use the TV tuner card with FM built in. I changed to a newer quad tuner that is all digital. I now would like to use my DAB tuner stick that has FM on it but need a driver that NPVR can see. The software for the stick has a tuner but not the driver needed by NPVR. I like the way NPVR works with Kodi and would like to find a way to make it work. Any one know of a driver that will show up in NPVR to scan the US FM band?
I'm tired of getting *ss-raped by Comcrap, so looking to replace our HDHR Prime with a dual (or more) OTA tuner card. We have one Hauppauge WinTV PVR-2250-MC Dual Tuner already, any suggestions for another card to add to the system?
I've used the app2fire to adb push install the app via my phone, and I've tried using the backup apk app to back it up and then install that apk. Both of them install the app, the only issue is when I go to open it I get a message
"Continue to Amazon Appstore?
This app is trying to open a link with an external market that is not available on this device. Would you like to open this link with the Amazon Appstore instead?"
I saw where people were not having this problem using app2fire to install on a fire stick and saw on another thread where using the backup option would work for side loading to an Android TV. Was there an update that was done so it would verify purchases?
I am assuming the answer to this is yes, but I thought it best to check. Can NPVR support inputs from a capture card and IPTV simultaneously? My setup will be as so:
1) I have my own scraper that builds a channel guide.
2) Some of my channels reside on an STB that the capture card is connected to.
3) I have an executable acting as a blaster to control the STB.
4) I will soon be getting an IPTV box delivered that has additional channels on it.
5) I will be extending my scraper to create an additional file that has the IPTV EPG data in it.
6) NPVR will act as a PVR back end in Kodi.
7) When I open the TV Guide in Kodi, I will see my STB channels and IPTV channels all as part of the same EPG.
8) When I select a STB channel, the executable blaster will switch to that channel for me.
9) When I select an IPTV channel, NPVR will change to the correct stream for me.
Is all of the above possible? I know it is on TVHeadEnd, but I am hoping I can accomplish the same with NPVR.
I am trying to figure out why my client PC refuses to playback .mp4 files from the Recordings screen, but plays back fine from the Videos screen.
They also play OK using other players outside of NPVR including the Win10 Microsoft Films and TV app.
.ts files plays back OK in NPVR from either screen.
I have tried setting decoders to LAV, Microsoft and Cyberlink with no change.
FYI, I archive recordings to .mp4 using ffmpeg to save disk space and have done for many years with no issues. They all play back from the Recordings screen on my server PC with no problems.
I have a feeling that it got hosed after a Win10 major update and the PC was off for several months when we moved house so the updates came thick and fast.
All machines are running NPVR V3.9.2, so I am not sure if moving to V4.x.x will help me out.
Can anyone lead me in the right direction? Will post logs next if it helps.
Looking for some advice on why many feel LAV filters with NPVR are advantageous? I have tried asking Google this question, perused the LAV web site yet have not found how installing and using this makes video quality or audio superior to that created by using the drivers/decoders supplied and supported by the USB or PC Card TV tuner manufacturer?
Is there some objective test process to determine this and I have not found it?
Hello.
I own a Triax TSS400 Mk2 SAT>IP server and wanted to try NPVR together with the TSS400. All for tuners are fond in the devices list but when I start a channel scan nothing was found, not a single channel. I'm not aware I've set up something wrong, but nevertheless here are my settings:
Having a look at the Triax Web-GUI I could see the first channel NPVR wants to scan was locked (but not playing) and stay locked until the NPVR recording service is stopped.
I've tried it several times but always with no success. Log files are attached (hope they are complete)
The TSS400 is working with MediaPortal2 the TV solution I'm using right now.. The Pro- Demo and the SAT>IP version of DVB-Viewer, are working flawlessly, same is true for the free version of TVMosaic. That's why I assume the TSS400 and my network is working as it should. It seems as if something went wrong on my NPVR setup, but what is it? By the way recently I didn't have any other TV software installed on my desktop system where I'm testing NPVR.
Whenever I go into Settings - Devices I get an unhandled exception error.
If I press continue the device screen appears with "Scanning Cordcutter TV Devices.
I am using 4.22 the same occurs using 4.21, 4.11 works without problems.
Hope you can help
John
Win10 working with NextPVR and Kodi. I was trying to get NextPvr going on a 'client' computer.' I was having some difficulty getting the channel logos, and at some point I tripped some configuration error. My OTA channels play through the host computer through both Kodi/NextPvr but in trying 127.0.0.1:8866 on the host computer, I get a configuration error.
