Love the new behavior for osd in evr renderer! like the old days..
but alas, now the other settings in config no longer work..only <OSDTimeoutInfo> has any effect..all timeouts use this value
by design or accident? they usedto work in all previous versions...
i tested w long 8000 and 10000+ values..

I'm trying to manually import a number of video files into the database but failing to get it right.
The last template I created for the required fields doesn't seem to work anymore as the database has obviously progressed.
I tried mimicking the fields from a recording-backup.xml but I must be getting values or syntax wrong because it doesn't create the correct populated entries.

Sub (or anyone else who knows). Can you advise which fields need to be populated, which are optional, which are created by NPVR on import and what effect each field has on the database (e.g. I see two entries for every recording start & end time..... why?)
I see the SubTitle field has changed / disappeared?

I'm sure that previously the channels would match the allocated LCN? Instead they're grouped by multiplex. If there's a way the data on the mux can be decoded to match the allocated channel number instead of manually altering them, which has become an issue when the channel list is all groups when editing alongside the IPTV/VOD.

Since I installed V4.0.5 (and also now I've upgraded to 4.1.0) I've started getting an Unhandled Exception dialogue box



which pops up when I'm in Live View and I change from a DVB-T channel to a DVB-T2 channel. It may be the change from one adaptor (Hauppauge Win-TV Nova stick - DVB-T only) to the other (PCTV 292e - DVB-T and DVB-T2) which is doing it, given that my device priorities always use the Hauppauge in preference to the PCTV).

When this happens, the mouse pointer is hidden as soon as it enters the main NPVR window (and also the child window for the dialogue box) so I can't select the error message to copy and paste into this thread, so I hope it's included in the error logs (attached).

The new channel is still displayed OK, and I can tab between the Details and Continue buttons so as to press Continue and to remove the message.

Recording from either or both adaptors works fine, so the error is pretty low impact for me.

I got an NRecord unable to start error when trying to update 4.05>4.10 (see attachment)
I had stopped the recording service prior to running the update.
I then tried to roll back but struck the same issue on installing 4.04 and even with 3.7.7

*insert mild panic attack*

I then deleted NRercord.exe and most of the C:\Program Files\NPVR folder contents.
Reinstalled 4.05 and got it back up.

Not sure where to go from here. Am on Win7 32 with .NET 4.6.1

My install of Nextpvr 3.5-ish (maybe 3.7.7) has been running great for a long long time. Now I decided to try the update to see if there were any cool updates. mistake. I can open Npvr and watch a recorded show without any problems but when I select the guide it crashes. Also when I select live tv it crashes. It is recording fine and I can watch a recording while it records. Why can't computer things be seamless? I also got the direct x not installed warning in the settings screen. Tried the install with the link and that didn't work. Looked around here and saw another post with a link and that one seemed to work but didn't help anything.
I am running windows 10 64. Everything was working just fine until the update today.

I upgraded to v4.1 earlier today and it has crashed 2 times in the past 4-5 hours with the attached error. Logs are attached.

I am trying to install NPVR 4.1.0 on a ASRock HTPC that is running Vista32 Ultimate. I have SP2 installed as well as .NET 4.6.1.
I am getting the below errors.

This HTPC is used for watching recordings. My ither main PC is running Windows 10 and is recording and working fine with NPVR 4.1.0.
I am wondering if this is a Vista issue.

Please can a button (or the word 'Guide') be added in live TV say in the top-left of the screen (which appears when the mouse pointer is moved in the live TV screen) so when pressed with the mouse it displays the TV Guide in live TV, rather than pressing F1.

If this can be done already by configuring a file, can you please advise how to do it ?

Also, when in full screen in live TV can a minimise, maximise and close buttons be added to the top-right which appears when the mouse pointer is moved (like in WMC), please ?

When I press the Groups button in Settings>Channels, the software becomes non-responsive and doesn't open the window.

I got it to open (slowly) before I added the patch for the EPG.
