I'm trying to locate the option to modify channels types, due to Comcast changing encoding from TS to MGEG-4. I have just re-installed version 3.9.2 (161119), but still no luck. This option was added in January of 2016, yet for some reason, I don't have access to it. I must assume that I've done something wrong again. Can someone kindly help me?

Had to reinstall Windows 10. Of course that meant I had to reinstall Next PVR, WinTV, NextEnd, ComSkip, batch files and redo settings.

The problems I now have are:

• Genre Coloring list does not appear
  
• Group does not work
  

Following the new big windows uograde my NextPVR just frezzes and stutters both audio and video. I have reinstalled NextPVR also K lite codecs and FFord show but cant get it working. Any ideas to try?

Hi to all for this helpful forum, this is my first post. I have a strange problem concerning NPVR and my Gigabyte U8300 Hybrid Usb Dongle.
I had installed the software, the DVB-T section of the usb dongle had no problem channels were found all ok.
In devices list my Analog section of the card was not shown so I followed the wiki and installed intv7_cd_3.9g.exe, runned the bat file, but the analog tuner was still not shown, the I run filter check and I had added the lines in the AnalogDevices.xml as in the wiki, the analog tuner appeared in the devices, searched the channel, channels found, but I had black picture no sound.
Searching the wiki I tried all the decoders and the decoder that worked was ffdshow_rev4531_20140628.exe.
I use Windows 64bit.
My problem is when I run the analog tuner first ( try to see a analog channel ) channels are all ok, when then I switch to Digital channels channels are ok, BUT when I switch again in the analog tuner I have black screen, no sound.
When ffdshow is activated in the status bar I have 2 icons one for the video and one for the audio details in the first time in the analog tuner the details are shown, the same and in the digital but when i switch back in the analog black picture no ffdshow details.
The only way to make it working again is to reboot the PC or take off the dongle from the usb port and put it back again.
Restarting NPVR, stop and start NPVR service, or restarting Recording service doen't solve the problem.
Can you help me?

I have a few questions and wonder if someone could point me to a resolution

- is it possible to listen to live tv while viewing the Guide/Listings? Skin or plugin, maybe?
- can PIP be accessed on a wmc remote?
- PIP does not change audio when using the 'swap' feature. can this be changed?

If I open NextPVR (app or web) TV Guide.. the channels are present but void of EPG data.. (there is the odd listing!)
If I then open the NextPVR app and view (live) say 'ch9 GO' .. view a current program for a sec.. then exit..
I now see all of the EPG programmes for the next week for all of the 'channel 9' affilliated channels eg: 9, 91, 92, 93... all other channels are still void of programmes..
If I then go view a current program on channel 2.. all those ones now appear (web and app TV Guide) 2, 21, 22...
I have to go view a program on each challel to populate all the channels EPG data for the week..
then the following week.. do the same...
'Auto update EPG guide' is ticked in misc2 settings for 2:30AM each morning...
shouldn't the EPG data be updated each night automatically? is it a known bug?
any thoughts?

In the past week, my recordings stopped. I had upgraded to the latest version of npvr. And noticed that under device status, no devices show. But if I restart recording service, the devices are repopulated. When I restart my PC, those devices are absent again and the only way to get them back (and record) is to restart recording device.

I reinstalled nextpvr a couple of times. I also replaced compkgsup.dll as per a previous thread that seemed to be in the same ballpark as this issue.

Hi , new user to nextpvr . Here is what im doing . I'm basically using this as the TV watching interface to watch TV via my direct TV genie . Have a cord out of the back of the genie to a hauppauge hvr 1600 into the S video port . Had to do this because because something happened to the Wintv program will not work anymore no matter what i try . I noticed while the nextpvr is using the live tv it creates these big 175 meg files and keeps creating these as long as the program is open and displaying the satellite tv . Is there any way to stop it from creating these big files , basically just shut it off . I dont plan on recording or anything, I can record on the direct tv dvr . The files seem to be deleted once you close the program but just seeing if there is a way to keep it from recording at all and save the wear and tear on the hdd . I have checked all the settings and can't find anything. Also will it just keep creating these files as long as it is open or will it eventually stop ? Thanks for any help.
