I've noticed that recordings do not start automatically if their scheduling window begins before booting the PC.
I have a news program scheduled to record from 6am - 9am daily, which usually works nicely - if the PC is on first. But, i often don't wake to turn the PC on in time. When I finally do, the already late recording does not automatically begin. It will continue to be delayed until I first delete an existing recording.
While this is not a major issue, it is a frequent annoyance. So, I was wondering if maybe there is a simple/quick fix around?
Title says it all. I've searched off and on for a solution for months. Still can't get it to stop filling up my hard drive. After a couple weeks, the hard drive is full and I have to manually delete 2000 4Gb files.
I'm using v3.8.3 on a Windows 7-64 machine. I was using Kodi as a front end, but uninstalled it and still experiencing the same problem. WMC is disabled. HDHomeRun tuner (3 channel).
It appears that whatever cable channel the current tuners are set to is being recorded to the buffer folder I set up in the recorded tv folder. But, it never gets deleted.
NextPVR works great otherwise and has been for almost a year.
I got npvr working great natively and on windows + kodi but want to use my shield instead.
The problem I am having is when I change channel on the shield I get a no tuner available error some of the time both with timeshift enabled and disabled.
Looks as thought it is specific to android + nextpvr.
Any ideas? Logs attached.
ts seems to be mainly when changing channels by pressing the numbers directly rather than navigating the guide.
The last time I installed NextPVR I am pretty certain TV Listing. I tried to install the plugins from the Download More button but when I do, I get "he remote server returned an error (0x404) not found".
Just wondering if anyone can recommend an optical (SPDIF / TOSLINK) to analogue converter to connect between a TV and a Hi-Fi amplifier? I have an unbranded one from eBay, but the latency is noticable (i.e. lip sync is lost). Anyone any experience of one they would recommend?
Just reinstalled my whole system and that includes 3.6.6 of NextPVR.
I went to the Bulk Map to map all of my channels to Schedules Direct. I picked Schedules Direct for my first channel. Pressed OK. I was never asked if I wanted to map that channel to others as the documentation suggests. The channel I attempted to map was not mapped.
I did some searching and found a post around 2013 or 2014 that mentioned this issue. Apparently it came down to a bug introduced in that version at that time.
If I pause while playing a recorded program (for an hour or two), and then continue playing the file when I return, that an execution exception is thrown - when I subsequently delete the recording.
I've done this a few times, when I was called away on an unrelated support issue. I believe that it is consistent, however I don't know how long to wait to test it (today it was about 1.5 hours). If no one knows of a cause/resolution, I'll get the logs and chase it.
What I assume is the "new" On Screen Display during Skip or Pause which first appeared I think in a Alpha release some months ago has reverted to the original display with the green time bar on the latest X-NEWA Beta.
However the new OSD has now randomly appeared twice in the last week on both occasions when "Pause" was pressed then afterwards reverted to the old style display. As a test I installed an old X-NEWA Alpha on a spare client and that seems to use the "New" display all the time.
Is the "New" OSD not now used or have I got an incorrect setting somewhere?
In the clients section of setup I noticed web clients in the known devices bit. Being curious I had a look - "unhandled exception" - the PCH sections work fine.
"continue" continues, "details" gives this blurb.
I see mention of MVPSkin, so suspect it is a minor problem if at all. Just thought I mention it as I don't recall having seen it reported earlier.
