I have been using NPVR for about a year now, and occasionally weeks at a time will go without recording. I missed most of the end shows from last season, and it started again this last week. Not sure if the service is not automatically starting or what.
Has anyone got KODI 17 working on a RPi2? I have the latest LibreElec Alpha installed on spare SD card and it is unusable as the video playback speed is erratic and the sound several seconds out of sync for both SD & HD recordings! I use X-NEWA but the problems also show if I play the same files directly in KODI. The PC version seems to run ok on my AMD powered low spec box.
I've been running NPVR almost flawlessly for years. I'm having a few minor issues with the latest version:
- The application no longer recognises the "Guide" MCE event (bringing up the guide on top of liveTV). It can actually make the video quite glitchy (jumpy image, LiveTV won't stop when going to live menu, application crash). I do have the "Enable MCE events" checkbox ticked. Unticking it makes the "Guide" event work, but the "back" event no longer works...
Nothing too world-ending (recording works, etc...), but a bit of an annoyance.
I have no parallelprocessing.bat file. It wasn't clear to me that I needed one since I wasn't recording the football game. I invoked this instance of NextEnd from the command prompt Sunday afternoon. I have only two files in ..\scripts: PostStartup.bat and PostUpdateEPG.bat. (attached)
I could not find "NextEnd.log," only "NextEnd-Monitor.log." "NextEnd-Monitor.log" is located in "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Logs." Is there another location I should look in?
I updated to 3.8.3 this morning. I stopped the recording service via the tray, and killed the NextPVR app in Task Manager prior to installing the update. It appeared that all was working OK. However, while double checking NPRV's list of recurring recordings I obtained an "unhandled exception" error window. This happened for two different recordings, but not a third, upon selecting each recording's Update option. I don't recall this happening with the previous version.
This doesn't look like a show stopper, but I would like the ability to review/change recording settings.
Windows 10 Home x64 Anniversary update. I normally use KODI to schedule recordings, rather than NPRV if that makes any difference.
I have been trying to resolve this issue since yesterday. I am again trying NextPVR after not having used it for quite a while. I have two devices on my network, an HDHomerun Prime and an HDHomerun Extend. The Prime channel scan does fine and pulls in all my channels without issue. However, the Extend device which is connected directly to the cable to pull in the Qam channels is not cooperating as I thought it should.
There are only two channels that it is not displaying in the channel list after the scan, NBC and FOX. ABC, CBS, The CW all come in just fine. When I looked into the logs I see a listing in there for NBC and FOX but they are not in the channel list itself after the scan for some reason. These two channels come in fine on my Devices channel lineup and also when I use the Emby Server to pull in channels from that same device.
I downloaded the version with the patch 3_8_3_160929 and even separately had downloaded the patch by itself before I realized it was now part of the current download. I didn't have any existing version of NextPVR on my computer prior to downloading the latest one in the forum. I just started playing with this yesterday.
I have scanned the device at least 6 times with no luck. I have reinstalled NextPVR 3 times and rescanned with no luck. I am not sure what else I could do. I searched the forums for a similar issue (that is how I found the patch that is now apparently part of the main download).
Let me know if there is anything else I can provide.
This is probably a stupid question but I'm trying to set up the NPVR/KODI interface on my client (I prefer NPVR but it's just freezing continuously and KODI doesn't) and am not having any luck. I'm wondering if the 127.0.0.1 IP address is correct when attempting to do this on a client rather than the server.
I'm a new user of Nextend and probably got something wrong. I tried using it yesterday to try and record a 10:00pm show that may start late due to a football game. The recording did not start as expected so I looked in the log. I saw nothing amiss but wouldn't know what to look for.
It appears NextPVR is not showing pending recordings correctly and I'm not sure why. Here's a screen shot of the pending recordings screen which lists the first pending recording on Oct 5th. NEWA shows it correctly with the next recording at 9:58pm today. The only thing I can think is it might possibly be because there's 2 recordings going on right now but that would be a bit strange as there's 10 recordings scheduled between Blindspot on Oct 10th and right this moment.
