NPVR was working fine with version 3.7.7, then it stopped. Tried updating to 3.8.3, still nothing. By nothing I mean no TV, no epg. It still seems to recognise the Hauppauge tuner in the PC. Tried completely removing 3.7.7 and reinstalling 3.8.3 and updating the data base, seen in another thread, didn't help. Deleted the channels it had and tried rescanning Optus D1, its says its scanning 12456, 12483 etc but finds nothing. Am (hopefully) attaching today's logs. Any ideas please.

Hi guys, Im an installer, my client has HDMI modulator, it outputs either QAM DVB-C or IPTV(RTP or UDP multicast/unicast), for their internal use they decided to use nextPVR app, sorry I didn't have a chance to check it out, so I'm asking you guys for help - Does it support IPTV streaming? (Because for me it's cheaper to set IP cable, than buy DVB-C tuner card) Thank you!

I would like to try NextPVR but am having some problems getting it set up. Up to now I have been using WinTV8 to do my capturing. I am using a Hauppauge Colossus card, connected to my STB by component cable. NextPVR recognizes the card, I go to "devices" but can not find a way to scan in my channels. The "scan" button is not there. According to the wiki, there should be a scan button present. Is there a way to get my channels scanned so that I can use NextPVR or let me know what else I should be doing?

Can't get NextPVR client working on my new Android 5.1.1 TV Box.
Whenever I enter the NextPVR hostname it doesn't stay there.

I am using KODI v17, but I don't think that's the problem.
I sucessfully set up the NextPVR client and KODI v17 on a PC platform.

I'm really new at working with an Android system.
I suspect it has to do with the different network protocols?

Any sugestions? Thanx.

I have recently setup NextPVR to accept remote clients. Through this I am able to stream OTA TV to remote devices. Everything works great except that the streams tend to crash fairly often, probably due the amount of data it is streaming. I've noticed there is a High Definition setting in the client setup area in setings, but when I uncheck it, it just comes back checked the next time I open Client settings. Don't know if this is experimental or not, but I was hoping this would allow me to lower the bitrate. Yes I know about the webpager, but it doesn't seem to work so well either, even though it does allow me to adjust the bitrate. What's irritating about all this is that it crashes kodi on the remote client.

I'm hoping that there is a fix for this or a change that I can make in a settings file to adjust the clikent birate.
Does anyone have any information on this or suggestions I can try?

I am running NextPVR 3.83 and Kodi 16.1. Having some issues with getting smooth playback across my home network.

If I use the NextPVR web interface, I can watch live HD television with no issues at all, video and audio is perfectly smooth, whether on max settings or with the reduced bandwidth settings. So clearly network throughput is not an issue here.

If I try and watch live TV through Kodi however, on clients that are across the network, I seem to get a small audio glitch out every 10-20 seconds. I'm not sure what to do to fix this. This behaviour happens on both an android device as well as my Macbook Pro. However on the Windows 10 pc that the server is running on, I have no issues with Kodi.

Other than the different operating system, the Windows PC is connected to a television which supports changing the frame rate of the display to match the TV source. There is a mismatch between the 60hz frame rates on the other devices and the 50hz TV rate. I thought this could be part of the issue? But then it plays back perfectly in the web browser....

If anybody has any ideas I would be very grateful for the help.

I installed the latest release of NextPVR and it interfaces with Kodi and works with one Exceptions. When you schedule a recording it seems to get an Unexpected error. Also the TV schedule in Kodi is off about 1/2 hour with the new version.

Attached are my logs with kodi.log provided. New Release of NextPVR looks good.

I find it more convenient if the late-night shows are shown as a part of the same "day" as the earlier night-time shows. To support this, it would be cool if there were an option to set a "Guide Start Hour" that the user could set between, say, 0 and 6 (default: 0).

I have tweaked guide.html to hard-wire a startHour var to 4, and I like that a lot. The very simple patch is here:

Hi, I'm relatively new to NextPVR. I recently installed the program and had it working fine, a couple days ago I upgraded to version 3.8.3 and since then I have not been able to get it to work... when going in to the Decoders setting the program crashes (windows message saying "NextPVR has stopped working"). Same issue happens on the DVD setting. I have tried going through troubleshooting and similar issues with the Decoders and DVD setting menus, but have had no luck. I tried full uninstall of the program and a clean Install, but same issue occurs. Also have been through reinstallation of SAF filters, have tried previous versions of NextPVR, but still no luck.

Log file is attached. Any advice/assistance would be appreciated.
