I don't believe this is supported with NextPVR. I don't even think there's a PVR software available which supports it, so I think it would be a first for NextPVR if this functionality was implemented! MediaPortal say they can't implement it. My current PVR supports it and it's great.
With AR, the PVR fires up 15 minutes before the expected programme start time and looks for the start marker. When the marker arrives the recording starts, and ends when the marker for the next programme arrives. This allows for big (but not infinite) shifts in a programme time, say a live event is running late, if you are recording the live event the recording will be extended as long as required, or if you want to record a subsequent programme the recording will be delayed as long as required.
New to NextPRV here and was hoping to solicit a little help with a problem that I'm having.
On my client PC, when watching a show that is broadcasting in SD, the show will freeze after ~ 7-10 seconds. Seems to happen on multiple stations - the trigger is a SD broadcast.
I've waiting several minutes but the show never resumes. NextPVR is still responsive and I'm able to return to the menu/guide after the show freezes.
If I set the show to record, and then play it on the client (during or after recording) the show plays OK. Also, the same SD show works fine if I stream said show via web/VLC to the client.
Note that any shows broadcasting in HD seem to play fine at the client.
The server doesn't seem to have the same problem and will play HD & SD shows just fine.
Client and Server are both running Windows 10 and using the unlocked SAF v6.3.1 decoders.
I'm using a pair of HDHomeruns model HDHR-US.
All connected via Ethernet connections.
A Zip copy of the Log directory is attached.
Any help/suggestions/thoughts greatly appreciated!
I revive a laptop that had NextPVR 2.5.9 installed and removed a while ago.
However, I found that the NPVR Recording service is still present in the service list but point to nothing.
So I installed 2.5.9 again and uninstall it, NPVR Recording service entry is still there.
I install 3.5.7, uninstall 3.5.7 (via the control panel) and again the NPVR Recording service is sill present
I removed C:\Users\Public\NPVR, I installed 3.5.7 again and uninstall it with C:\Program Files\NPVR\uninstall.exe, the service is still there!
Hello, hope someone can help me. To my surprise, Kodi on my PC works very well with NextPVR. However, I can't get the sound to work for love or money. I've tried all the codec settings in NextPVR, but it's still silent over at Kodi. NextPVR is fine with no problems. Is there anything obvious I haven't done? I can't see it myself.
I have just switched to windows 10 pro 64bits . I'm running NextPVR 3.5.7 and I have problem switching channels. If NPVR is not hung, the channels switching can take up to 20 sec (or more) Sometime the delay is ok (2-3 sec) but most of the time I receive this message : The tuner your were using was required for a recording....
I'm using Hauppauge WinTV 2250 ATSC tuner with Schedule Direct subscription and the Main concept mpg2 decoder. I've tried everything...I need help now...
(btw, the channel switch work really well in the Hauppauge WinTV 7.2 software)
If I rename a *.ts file to *.mp4 or *.avi the listing remains in Recordings. If I rename *.ts to *.mkv the listing forever disappears. Wherever |mp4| or |avi| appears in Config.xml, |mkv| also appears. How can I get the database to recognize a rename to .mkv? Should I provide any particular log or config.xml?
Hi, my Windows 10 PC never seems to go into sleep after a recording. I noticed the red N even though Kodi says its not recording. When I check nPVR it says its recording null.ts. I don't recall this problem with the previous version. Any ideas??
I just received a letter from xfinity indicating they will be switching to MPEG-4 format for their cablecards next month in my area. I've checked the SiliconDust site, and it appears my HDHR will support that stream.
Quote:As part of our HD Enhanced Program, we are upgrading the way we deliver HD channels in your area. The new format delivers HD channels using MPEG-4 technology that delivers crystal-clear HD signals more efficiently. For you to enjoy the benefits, it's important that your equipment is compatible with the MPEG-4 format. This network upgrade only affects HD channels and will begin on or about 11.17/2015.
Hello -
I'm using zap2xml to grab guide data. I have a zap2it account setup with my preferred channels, and I have the channels mapped properly to the xmltv file. I get good guide data for 90% of my channels, but there are a few that are showing zero data. I took a quick look at the logs, and everything appears to be good...for instance the logs shows:
2015-10-09 10:07:57.930 [INFO][7] -channel: 'KET' has 85 listings
2015-10-09 10:07:57.930 [INFO][7] -channel: 'KET2' has 78 listings
2015-10-09 10:07:57.930 [INFO][7] -channel: 'KET KY' has 63 listings
But the guide shows nothing for those three channels.
I've attached the logs (and my xmltv file) - any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
