For quite a few months the tuner status in the logs on my NextPVR server has always read all zeros for all tuners I have tried even though the recordings made are good and play normally. The same happens on a couple of test servers I tried.
This is my setup. I have NextPVR installed on a dedicated computer in my upstairs closet. I have two HDHomeRun Connect network tuners, total of four tuners. I can receive about 22 channels but I only watch about 12 or so as the rest are infomercial and public access channels. I then have three other computers running Kodi that I watch TV on. Two are wired (1GB) one is wireless N (with 112MB avg rate). Out of the major networks, the ABC station and their two side channels have an issue where they digitize or pixelate a lot. The other channels are fine for the most part. Should I try adjusting the decoders inside NextPVR to see if it has an impact. It does it on all three computers. All are running Windows 8 64 bit. What else could I try to resolve this issue since it's only the one station (3 channels)
Hello someone can help me getting this work? In the confluence skin and mimic skin it work but with amber wich i use for the plexmbc addon the preference does not show up correctly.
I have been trying for a few days to get a functional fast forward as opposed to skipping forward some number of seconds.
Even when I change FF/RW behaviour to fast play, it still is skipping. Does NextPVR not really do FF? Does it just skip forward and back?
Found something odd this morning, when I started using the Ntray icon "Start N-PVR" the image was zoomed in verticaly, maybe using 16:10 instead of 16:9 aspect ratio.
Starting NextPVR using NextPVR shortcut or menu item has the right resolution.
not a big issue as I always use the shortcut.
Images have been scaled from 1920x1080 to 640x360.
I have fought a NPVR install (3.5.7) on a W10 laptop for couple of days now. I finally gave up trying to use xmltv and went with the paid epg, and so my epg now actually works (at least, it does today). I now have a couple of vexing issues:
1. If I make the display full-screen, I cannot find any way to return to "small screen". ESC doesn't work, there does not seem to be anything in the menu that does this, all I can do is exit and re-start, which is a drag.
2. I cannot find any way to skip/ff/rewind when viewing a recording. CTRL-Q works to pause/resume, but that is about it. If I move my mouse over the playback screen so that the playback timeline shows up, and then click a bit further down the timeline to force playback to skip forward, the playback pauses briefly, then I get a message that says, "This recording was watched to completion (which is totally untrue!) Would you like to delete this recording?" CTRL-right arrow gives the same result. It is almost as if trying to skip forward pushes the time marker to the end of the recording, or something like that.
I have seen some posts that indicate that the video renderer may impact this. If so, in which way? Is there a preferred video renderer? I'm was using EVR, then I tried MadVR, and that allowed the CTRL-F key combination to work, but I lost the timeline strip at the bottom. Also, CTRL-R doesn't work, nor do the CTRL-arrow keys.
I am almost there, after losing WMC, and finding that Kodi won't work with my older Silicondust network tuner. NextPVR seems to be the one that should work, but holy cow! I'm a fairly competent geek, but this is kicking my butt!
OK, so I'm trying to switch over to SD from MicroSoft.
I would like to continue using MC2XML to first create an XML file because I want to be able to modify the file to give me movie years, original air date, etc.
I am able to generate the new SD XML file, but finding it difficult to map the channels.
Before I get too crazy, I just want to know if this can be done?
I have an odd problem in that while npvr on the win 7 box doing the recording shows all the channels and content I expect - but when I view remotely using NEWA it only shows a tiny subset of the available channels.
NEWA is my preferred way to manage the system - so this is a real problem.
Logs attached ...
I have tried restarting recording service and even purged the cache on the client machine - made no difference.
So I just got my HDHome Connect box and have installed NextPVR.. all good so far.. cards found, things are recording etc. Now to where I need help.. and I have read around but not found anything that helps... so sorry if this has been asked a million times. I have the 'use s01e01 naming' check box selected and yet the files that are generated are in the format "Name - date time".. Am I missing something else in order to get the serial/episode style format?
Many use this program so I guess some one knows why it is now not working. I installed comskip and it worked great. So good I donated and received the donators faster version. Removed the "free" version and installed the "donators" version. Now it does not work to remove commercials.
If you check Nrecord.log.1 at 2015-10-12 20:59:00.477 it shows starting parallelprocessing.bat on video scorpion. But nothing after that tell me what went wrong. Ads were never removed. Ideas?
