I have seen several posts regarding this issue but, I still cannot fix my issue. I have attached logs hopefully, someone can help. Running Windows 10 (should have left well enough alone) and once I get this up and running I will use it as the backend for Kodi.
Just trying to understand - when streaming from NextPVR (using live?recording=, or transcode?recording= for example), does NextPVR use the Comskip info (in the stream)?
Hello, I'm trying to set up the EPG using the freesat option (I only seem to get now and next with the standard option) and I simply can't get it to work. I've followed the guides and my log filles are attached. I'm not convinced my set up is behaving correctly as the bulk map doesn't work (I had to set each one individually) and although I've reordered my channels it never saves the new config order. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I've followed a number of threads, but might just be using the wrong search strings so if I need pointing at a post and slapped for not finding it then please do so
I have 4 XBOX 360s that I use as media players. I installed and configred NextPVR last week. I formerly used GBPVR so not quite a newbie, but a bit rusty. I am able to record television in NextPVR, convert it from .ts to .dvr-ms with VideoRedo, and watch it from the XBOX 360s. However, it appears that Windows doesn't like the naming format in the metadata. If I record a season of shows from within WMC, the shows go into a single folder. When I record a season of shows using the new NextPVR process, it treats each recording as its own show. Has anyone dealt with this type of issue? Is there an easy way to correct it? TIA
Installed latest version of NextPVR on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64, 16 gb RAM, 120gb SSD drive.
The only thing not working is setting up groups in the EPG.
No error given, however, looking at the log file NPVR.log, this error shows up:

Attached should be my log files. Thank you for your assistance.
Imagegrab lite was working fine for me, but I had not been using NPVR with very many TV channels back then, and was using XBMC.
Now I have Kodi, and more channels....imagegrablite is renaming the files to series.SXEX.title format OK...but for the life of me, I cannot get Kodi to scrape these files and populate the kodi database with the show information. Maybe it doesn't like the file format. Now when I dont rename with the utility and use the --nfo option, imagegrab lite seems to do the right thing and create the .nfo file. But again, Kodi scraper (using TVdb and tried others) doesnt pick it up...so metadata doesnt show up on screen when I select the file.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this one?
BTW....Kodi has no trouble scraping files obtained from places other than NPVR to properly extract metadata.....and pull down art.
Jim
PS. Here is an example test file created by IGL from a old show I recorded.....is this malformed?

After updating the UK Freeview Freesat Logos 10 days ago (which set the counters to 0 due to new file names) I was slightly surprised nobody had downloaded them - so downloaded them myself just to check the links were OK - Honest :o
Still nothing showing on the counters - so are they not working any more?
Occasionally when watching a recording from a client, over a wireless connection, the picture will freeze, then the screen goes black and the "Recording watched to completion. Delete?" message pops up on screen. I can restart the recording from the beginning and jump back to the same place and watch the rest of the show. I do use ComSkip, but for some reason NPVR jumps to the end and thinks I watched the whole show, even though it didn't really finish. I'm pretty certain that the primary cause is that I'm losing the wireless signal for a moment. Is there something I can set so that the server will know that the show didn't really end? I've attached both the client and server logs and you can see the file stop at 16:02.
I am very new to this all and I am a complete newbie so I don't really have a clue about it all.
I have downloaded NextPVR this evening and can't get it to work. Having two main issues, firstly the Update EPG on the channel scan isn't updating it is just going round and round scanning freq and not getting anywhere. Though the EPG in the TV Guide is up to date, so I presume it is working kind of.
Secondly the live TV isn't working at all. It is coming up with "Unable to communicate with recording service". I have looked up and seen that a few others have had this problem, but I am confused with the explanations and fixes to this issue. Sorry I am a complete newbie on things and any help would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks.
