EPG updates

It seems that my EPG is not updating anything more than a day or so in advance. Can someone tell me how to correct this. i just updated via the cinfig program and I thought this would correct it, but it did not. I am in the United States.

Can someone tell me when the EPG gets updated? I set it to get the date at 5:30am. How often does it get it? Does it wait until it is almost run out, does it run every day?

Mine is presently running 3 days ahead, which I think is normal. So my guess is that it updates every day. (I have it set for 5 AM).

I just got my free subscription. It should be good for at least a few months, right? Also, when does it update? I think the answer is daily. Prior to most recently, I did not have it waking on update in the config program. I changed it to wake when updating. I am basically looking for any info that I can get. The gbpvr site is pretty simplistic and not very explanatory.

Have browsed the wiki? You are more than welcome to add things you think are wrong or missing. It needs constant updating by all of us to be useful.
