Running XP SP3 with latest version of GBPVR. I ran windows update at the weekend which was fine but after the reebot the following problems were evident.

1. ASP.NET login had been created which mean yuo can use single/auto login.
2. PC wont go to sleep
3. Buffering from PCH and client PC's doesnt seem to be working.

So I decided to restore XP to an earlier time which rolled back fine but GBPVRtray.exe wouldnt load.

Took a copy of the GBPVR directory then uninstalled GBPVR, then couldnt reinstall due to .NET problem which I am guessing is why GBPVRTray.exe wouldnt run.

Reinstalled .NET 3.5 but made no difference.

In the end I took a copy of the DB and restored a disk image that I had taken 2 weeks ago and over wrote the DB with the latest one.

The last program I recorded is there and EPG all looks OK, is there anything else I should do.

Also what's recommended with regards to Windows Updates?

in a nutshell, don't Big Grin

by this i mean if you must, set windows to inform you of available updates but not to install them. this will allow you to pick and chose what updates you require, and if something does go amiss you will have a reasonable idea what hot fix caused the problem. That said once you have a stable working platform, i would personally not worry about any patches at all, if it ain't broke don't fix it!
