When I start GBPVR and either select a program to watch from EPG or try Live TV I get the following error:
"no connection could be made because target machine actively refused it"

The work around I use is to go into config, select a different capture source, then select and set up the BDA capture source that I have -- Fusion 5 Gold. This solution needs to be reapplied if have rebooted the computer.

As I wrote this, I tried another fix -- I just selected a different MPEG2 decoder. That fixed it. Again, not permanently -- only till the reboot. It seems that saving the config -- which causes the GB-PVR recordign services to restart correlates with the GBPVR working.

What is the root cause of the problem and how can I do a permanent fix?

P4 2.8G, 800FSB, 512MB mem, Geforce 5200, HDTVFusion 3.11 s/w also installed.

Thanks,
Byas

There is several of them. They've all got .log in the filename, and can be found in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr.

Thanks. I've sent them to you.

I've now established an work around (and have a related question) to the problem. After m/c reboot, the GBPVR is red, I click and select "restart recording service" and then start GBPVR. It now works (I can watch TV) and the tray icon is green.

TO when I opened CONFIG and closed it, the tray icon turned red and is currently red even though I'm still watching. Selecting "restart recording service" does not change the icon color.

When watching TV while doing no recording, should the tray be green or should it be red?

Thx,

Its green when its "going", so yes it should be green when you're watching TV.
