Hey guys,
Awesome Software Sub.
I have been reading the forum and working through most of my initial issues. I am having a problem with the OSD.
I was using VMR9/Nvidia and had some choppy video issues and sound problems. I read in the wiki that VMR9 is not compatible with Win 2k and I can only use Overlay. Fine, I switched to overlay and live TV is great. My recorded shows looked great with both and do not studder.
But, now when I pause, or show the OSD the screen displays snow with a faint image of the tv. The OSD portion looks great. would love to go back to vmr9 but switched originally because the osd did not show up at all.
Anyone have an idea?
Thanks,

zag

VMR7 is not compatible with Win2k, but VMR9 should be if you have DirectX9 installed.

You werent using VMR9 with the Cyberlink decoder? This is the most common reason for this. It requires a couple Cyberlink registry settings to be added for VMR compatibility.

Can you reproduce and post your gbpvr.exe-native.log?

I'm not really sure why, but it is actually using the Cyberlink decoder. The nvidia decoder is also in there, but not being used. These missing registry settings I mentioned above are the reason for the missing OSD (google: cyberlink EnableVMR9).
