Since the hardware forum seems a pretty inactive, I thought asking this here would improve my chances of receiving an answer.

Is it possible to use GBPVR in a full resolution 16:9 mode through the XCard?

Here is the original thread:

I think I removed my xcard and stop further developing support for it just before I started adding aspect ratio control to the app. Sorry.

Any chance you'll pick it up again? Failing that, any chance you'll allow someone else (such as me Smile to maintain XCard support?

I could use the standard TV-out of my video-card, but even though the XCard definitely has its failings, even after several years there is nothing coming close to matching the image-quality the XCard provides.

Sorry, no I will not be further enhancing the XCard support. This card was just too different. It was consuming large quantities of development time, for only a very small handful of users.

Ok, I hear ya Smile. Unfortunately that means I'll have to return to TVedia, even though it has sub-standard PVR functionality Sad. Oh well.

Hopefully you'll at least keep the existing XCard support in the next version? I would hate to see support dropped altogether. I wonder if there are other XCard lurkers like myself out there that simply haven't had trouble, thus no need to publicly announce their XCard ownership?

I dont intend to remove any of the existing functionality, so the XCard should continue to work. I also try to be careful with adding new features so that I wont break XCard functions.

I'd say there is about a dozen XCard users, maybe two dozen at a push, but that number is insignificant in the 30000 downloads of the current release.

Just to be clear, I don't have any problems as such. It's just that I have a 16:9 TV, and I can't use it with GBPVR (Through the XCard that is).

Too bad the XCard is such a small % of GBPVR users. I guess everybody that owns an XCard also owns TVedia by now, which does support 16:9 TV's.

Bummer, I love my Xcard too, if only TVedia supported BDA drivers.

I have two twinhan cards and the only way to get them both working at once is with BDA drivers and GB-PVR is the only program I know of that supports the Xcard and BDA drivers.

Too bad there isn't enough demand for further Xcard support. I'd like to see the Xcard remote supported. Oh well, such is life.
