Sorry im a complete noob with all this......

Ive just bought a pinnacle 200e and installed the software that came with it(pinnacle mediacenter). Its crashed on me about 4 times this morning and seems like a bit of a lame piece of software in general. I then uninstalled and went to look for an alternative app to run the live tv on.

I ended up here looking at GB-pvr and it looked perfect, im not going to be doing anything other than watch tv and record a few programs now and again so i wanted something nice and simple.

Ive downloaded it and im really confused as to what i need to do to get it working. I dont even know what BDA driver is and where i would find one, and i dont even know if this GB-pvr even supports the 200e. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on what i need to do please??

thanks in advance

ps. if it doesnt support the 200e anyone know another pvr that i could use?

The only Pinnacle device I've heard another user using is the 'Pinnacle PCTV 300i'. If your device has BDA driver, then it should still work, but you'll most likely need to add a section to the BDA.ini file. There is some instructions for doing this, with screen posted in the past, so try using the forum search feature for finding details on how to do this.

BDA drivers are a newer standard of drivers that Microsoft started using a couple of years ago. Most devices seem to have them now, but I dont anything about your device, so unfortunately I couldnt give you and indication of whether you have BDA drivers or not.
