I installed XDVD and successfully transferred a DVD to an .mpg file on my hard drive. When I play the .mpg file back and click on "Exit" from my PC (or "Stop" form the MVP) to stop watching the show, GBPVR hangs with the CPU at 100%. The only solution I've found to get GBPVR working again is to stop everything GBPVR related in Task Manager and start GBPVR over again. But, the same thing happens the next time I "Exit"/"Stop" the .mpg file.

BTW, I have no other problems with GBPVR. Recording and watching shows all work fine.

Can anyone shed some light on this problem?

Thanks.

you are probably finding that it is still transcoding the video. If you hit kill vlc does it stop. Or in the task manager do you see vlc running.

I thought the transcoding was done when the .mpg file was created? I'm simply playing the .mpg file from within the XDVD plugin. Maybe I'll try to play the .mpg file from XRECORD and see if the same thing happens?

Confirmed.

I just watched the .mpg file from within XRECORD and I can Exit the show with no problems. When I watch it from within XDVD, GBPVR crashes and CPU is pegged at 100% when I Exit.

It seems that something in XDVD is not allowing for a correct Exit...

[UPDATE]

This Exit problem is not limited to DVDs. It is also happening when I watch Recordings. Essentially, it is a problem when playing .mpg files in general.

First an apology. I've been incorrectly referring to XDVD in my previous posts. I should have been referring to Video A/V. That is where I was having the Exit problem. I think Video A/V got installed with XDVD, hence my reference to XDVD.

Second. The Exiting problem seems to have been cured after installing v95.14 of GBPVR. Prior to that I was using v94.13.

Now the only problem is that the Resume/Restart buttons are not visible. On the PC, I just click in the area where the button should be and it works. I haven't tried the MVP yet.
